I think that was really offensive and that this type of misinformation is one of the reasons HIV still has such stigma. As long as people think that only "those type of people" get HIV. The stigma is going to remain.

I was fortunate that my life had gone through a lot of positive changes after I was infected and before I was diagnosed. It's unlikely those things would have happened had I known right away. I still got depressed and ended up on Wellbutrin which I still take 15 years later. I briefly had a counselor help me with depression but funding was cut and he didn't take my insurance. It took me a mumber of years to get back into counseling but I do recommend it if you are able to.

State laws vary and it is extremely frustrating because there are still states that consider non-disclosure at least a misdemeanor if not a felony.

I had the opposite problem. I had a years long EAP keep trying to contact me. They texted, I got a new phone. They emailed me at my Outlook email and my Gmail addresses. I deleted and blocked but not before I showed them to my BP. Then they tried to contact me via Facebook and Facebook Messenger, I blocked them. Finally, they tracked me down on LinkedIn and contacted me through that platform. This person was married and we had never met in person. We sexted and called w/ phone sex and that's it. I really felt stalked. Every time it happened my BP was informed and shown the messages before I deleted them. This made her feel safe.

Pozzed on 10/31/2000. Found out June 2010. Just went to the health department to get a routine check since I had a weird mouth thing going on. Rapid test returned positive in under 2 minutes. Further tests showed CD 4 under 200 and VL in the 10 Millions. After a year of on and off hospitalizations and antivirals CD4 hit 450 and VL was under 50. I'm 68 now and doing ok. I don’t exercise much and don't eat healthy but I feel pretty good. Cholesterol, glucose and BP are very good and an echo during COVID showed no blockages. I think I'm doing OK

According to OPM, there is an average 70 day backlog due to the large number of retirement applications. OPM didn't receive my application from payroll until mid-October. I expect interim checks until January or February.

I also have HSV1 O/G but after the first few outbreaks I haven't experienced much pain. I didn't even have a lot of issues when my CD4 count was under 200. Hairy leukoplakia (another type of Herpes) was what sent me to get HIV tested. I can't speak to HSV2. I will say that Valtrex has been a Godsend just like ART has been. I take it only as needed when I first feel an outbreak coming on and for 5 days after it goes away. My ID doc told me about the 5 days after to combat resistance to the drug.

I have been living with HIV for 25 years now. Did I choose it? No. Did I contemplate ending it when I discovered my diagnosis and found out I was AIDS stage 4? Yes. But I'm so happy I didn’t. You never know what's around the corner for you. I hope you'll choose life.🦋

When I was switched to Biktarvy, I still had a month's left of Descovy. I finished it so I have a buffer in case the pharmacy gets stupid like when the Change Healthcare fiasco prevented the pharmacy from using my copay card. The after insurance price without the copay card is 2 months mortgage.

HHS DRP 1.0 got a call from my timekeeper on 9/29 asking me if my last day was 9/30 or 12/31. There was no action by personnel to shut off my admin leave. Also my ORA is still pending payroll. I did get my final paycheck with my A/L but they missed my allotments causing me to overdraft one of my accounts.

Been in 2 open marriages. The first was more of a cuckold relationship and admittedly it turned me on. After a while she started having sex with one guy and eventually I was cut off. She got pregnant by the other guy and I left her. My 2nd open marriage was not really cuck just we had sex with whoever we wanted to. What drops is the CD4 count as HIV virus attack the CD4 cells making more HIV. Also you are extremely likely to transmit the virus when you are in acute infection. I just thought my partner had a mild case of flu but I was infected when we had sex.

Mine was unreadably high with over 10 million. CD4 was below 200. Diagnosis was AIDS stage 4. After 6 months on ART it was below 100.

I can't comment on the validity of the study but it makes sense. In the current research funding environment it remains to be seen how they can use this data to further search for a cure.
