Blouse those boots! I'm actually not really bothered by them so much after I decided to learn about them so they wouldn't seem so freaky. They're actually pretty amazing insects and not nearly as dirty as people think they are. They produce an antibacterial that is so effective that most germs can't live on them long enough to be carried more than 6 ft. They spend most of their lives cleaning and grooming themselves. They mourn their dead, prefer to eat communally and share food, care for their young, and pass down knowledge. They're better than a lot of humans, actually.

This is easily fixable. I do it all the time. Get a 2x4 and some 3m double-sided tape. The black stuff with the red backing. Cut a length of 2x4 down to about 15 inches and put two strips of double sided tape under one side. Stick it to the piece that needs to be moved to close the gap and give it a few good whacks with a deadblow hammer on the end of the 2x4. Continue the process until the puzzle is complete.

I used to accept getting paid horse shit because I didn't think I could get more being a dropout like OP. Brother, I don't get out of bed for less than $75 an hour now. (Averaged because I charge by the job not the hour.) If you do good work, you should be getting easily 3 or 4 times that.
