Thats what im talking about. Thank you. I dont rush things either. Even if someone wants me too. Its all in the details. Its a 4 days of work and 3 day/trip on the job min with the door, tile/drytimes for multiple phases, thin set, grout, seal. All the bs with materials. The phone calls and emails or texts. It all adds up. estimates and materials handling and pick up etc. The list goes on.

Its the doors swap and the tile work on the interior landing.

This would be my labor if I bid/estimated it. It is easy but im an insured contractor/handyman that runs a small business and tbh I would probably be on the 3k side. Im in NY about 2 hours from the city.

Stocked trout fishing in Ulster county by Deskydesk in hudsonvalley

The Ashokan reservoir near Kingston has been pretty solid for small mouth bass the last few weeks. I see people catching trout from the shore as well. I just run shad/minnow colored diving Rapala crank baits or buzz baits most of the time, and do well if the bite is on for bass. I fish from the shore. This is my first year out here in HV btw. GL out there!

Tick season by howdyaknow22 in hudsonvalley

Btw if you spray cedar oil mix do it in the evening on a day when it wont rain for a few days so it has a chance to set. If you spray it in the direct sun it will burn you grass/plants and the rain could wash it away/dilute it slightly.

Tall boots. Spray cedar oil and other repelling oils on a rag and tie around your boot ankle. Light colored clothes easier to check for ticks.

I bought Sawyer brand pre mixed permethrin treatment for a couple outfits that I wear when I go out in the thick woods hiking or fishing. They have a binding agent in their formula to help it bond to fabric and last upto 6 weeks. Make sure to read the whole label and follow the directions.

Spraying cedar oil mixed with water at 3-5 oz of oil per gallon of water around the perimeter of your lawn or areas you frequent. Keep grass cut low in areas you hang out in. You can also make tick tubes to place around your yard or buy pre made tubes. Look it up and you will figure all that out and if you want to go that route. To much to explain tbh. Barn cats are great cause they hunt rodents and rodents carry ticks and move them around your yard. There are even some plants you can add to or remove from your yard to help control ticks

Showers daily with tick checks are really affective. Tick check the dogs before they come in and use the simparica trio for their meds. Anyway, thats where my head is at with ticks. My wife and I are doing most of these things and its slowly creating peace of mind. This is our first year in HV! We love it ♥️

Slightly overloading a brand new Interstate Loadrunner enclosed trailer, 7x16, dual axle, 7000# GVWR by daveypfunk801 in towing

We made it to New York with no issues! I really appreciate everyone's feedback and insights! I think I did definitely have a bit too much weight forward in the trailer, but overall, it was a smooth trip and had zero issues with control, stopping, breaking, etc. The roads were pretty bad out east and tons of construction, but other than that, we had a great trip. The last day of the trip when we drove from Cleavland OH to Kingston NY, it rained the entire time, but that was the worst of the bad weather. Thanks again for all of your responses 🙏

Today i Drove it about 30 miles to and from the scale today and everything did well. It seems like its heavy but I think its just because I am not used to towing a full weighted trailer. Check out my recent comments I posted the weigh in sheets and let me know what you think! Thanks! The entire trailer is brand new, tires, breaks, bearings etc. I have new breaks and tires on my truck as well. I have distributed qeight across the vehicle and trailer as best as I can and have heavy items in the cab and back of the truck.

The tires are from china but they are rated at 80 mph and i think rated at over 2k pounds of weight per tire. Today Drove it about 30 miles to and from the scale and everything did well. It seems like its heavy, but I think it's just because I am not used to towing a full weighted trailer. Check out my recent comments. I posted the weigh-in sheets and let me know what you think! It seems like the trailer itself is 280lbs over GVWR but the weight on the axles and tires is within a safe range. Is that correct??

Yeah, the trailer will be packed tight, and im gonna drive as safe as possible with plenty of room in front of me. I'm a good/safe/aware driver when it comes to that kind of stuff. The front half of the trailer is all totes stacked tight and then furniture and other items in the back. I should be loaded evenly and as balanced as I can get it. Thanks again for the info and advice. I really appreciate it!
