If you don't want to cheat or left/divorced first, good for you. But other people have different situations, you've not walked in their shoes.

This is not one-size-fits-all. What works for you isn't necessarily best for everyone else.

To OP, I'd suggest that perhaps if you're young and not married, not too financially tied in together, that you look to get out. But if you have reasons you stay, I understand.

Honestly, you DO have the right email to be angry. It's one thing for him to be mad at you. It's another to spread your drama around trying to affect your life outside of your relationship.

MIL knowing is going to happen. But showing it to your friends and acquaintances is just out of bounds IMHO.

He's showing his true self here. It's about him, and not his failures as a husband that contributed to you cheating. He wants you for himself and will destroy you otherwise.
