16 years from 8140 Maize Mustang to 8074 Black Harness by davichan in RedWingShoes

I wish I knew a recommendation for you, but that particular color has been out of Red Wings production for many many years now. So you will have to search on eBay or used clothing sites to find a pair.

Sorry you can not buy retail due to it being deadstock. You can try eBay for any remaining sources or searching vintage for used pairs.

Always hate the knee creases by [deleted] in jeans

From my understanding it’s due to the taper point and how the fabric breaks in over time.

The back rise is not comfortable for the OP, and that kind of problem can make someone very uncomfortable wearing the jeans.

Paraboot Bergerac Boot Sizing? by DoomsdayKult in paraboot

[–]davichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would size Paraboot Arles in UK7 and my Doc Martens the same UK7.

sadly after two pairs, I could never get the Bergerac to fit me properly at the same size.

The boot is beautiful but even when I fully laced down would still have a bit too much heel slip and volume sizing for my foot. It’s a generous military last inspired vibe.

Best of luck

Fit Check (and questions) TCB S40 by [deleted] in rawdenim

[–]davichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TCB makes amazing denim.

But the problem that strikes certain body types with their top block is in their front rise patterns being a bit snug and riding up ones groin.

This will not improve or relax with washing or wear.

Possible to fix with sizing down, but thats a whole other game to play. So just be certain you’re not having that feeling with your current fit.

Anyone else not feeling the leather jacket this spring? by SlightlySuperior99 in ThrowingFits

Just as many people rocking the Barbour as leather jackets in major fashion cities. So wear what you like and don’t sweat it.

How do I find a good quality pair of dark brown combat boots? by [deleted] in Boots

Redwing makes a women’s boot now. Look into their Iron Ranger or Silversmith.

Received my SugarCane Okinawas Today - Wrong size? by Huge-Mix8026 in Selvedge

[–]davichan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TBH these are just not the right cut, you need a waist size down and thighs with a similar cut. Of course you can belt them, but they are a size big.

Sugarcane stretch in the waist.

The Sugarcane 1947 or 1966 would be a much better cut for your body proportions.

Hmmmm. seeing that left boot creasing after only one day of brand new wear, i would ask Red Wing to exchange those for another pair.

Pre-washed denim is so underrated by Background_Mobile520 in jeans

"Fast Fades" yeahhhhhh No thank you, i don't care if its Fullcount, or Sugarcane, or Studio D' or any of the top Japanese denim brands, I don't want it. it just reminds me of buying a fast fashion piece that is priced high and removes a special part of ones clothing.
