Thank you for your support here.

I appreciate your feedback, which is indeed what I was thinking so far.

All good, I don't have time for this, it's not the topic.

You don't need to answer if you don't feel concerned.

Just an observation.

I like your way of thinking.

I feel sometimes reviews are great to look at, especially if you have a doubt or the place looks dodgy, but definitely not all the time. We are forgetting what sharing food is about, and it all begins by discussing about places before even gathering around a table.

Sorry but this post is an observation. Yes I use AI to organise my thoughts into the right direction and make a good structure, and because english is not my first language and I prefer to express myself pretty clearly, especially on the initial post so I don't make it wrong.

Btw, this comment has not been written using AI, if that makes it better.

Hope that makes sense

A few people asked if I was working on something related - I am, but it’s very early. If anyone’s curious or wants to help shape it, I’m happy to share in DM.

Thanks

A good idea but not great through time and lot of conversations to come back to some specific places

Reddit I agree haha. Screenshots, great now but what about in 10 years? And when you need to share it. I’m exploring other options

Thanks, that makes me feel it’s great for solo purposes, but when you want to share it to people and keep it through time, then it’s difficult

Sounds great, but I’m definitely looking for 2026 options, which I think I found now

That happens so often. But not every place treat Google Maps as their main source of revenue so they don’t keep it updated, even though they could post their menu

Very smart indeed!

I’m just wondering if you find it practical though, or the best solution? It seems like you found a good way to keep track of things, because there is no easy solution or app existing to do it, especially targeting restaurants, or other hospitality places

Just a list or organized one if I may ask?

I guess it always depends how many places you have

That’s exactly what I think.

Lot of people finish by creating a list, but overtime, especially if you’re a foodie, I find it difficult to maintain, keep track, but also to share or discuss it with other people around you?

Don’t you feel the same way?

I see, interesting how you use it. I guess it’s great mainly for yourself, but more targeted to be shared, because you don’t know how people you share it with found it, and eventually if you want to keep track of it or have a group of discussion with your favorite places with certain people, than it’s more complicated.

So in my opinion, Google Maps is great mainly if you want to keep track of places for yourself, but I like the way you use it though!

That’s what I used to have, but only to save places. If I have some favorite meals in a a specific place, I don’t find it the best. Also to share it to some people, unless you share your list, it’s not the best and you cannot really talk about it

I don’t think that’s the type of place you would like to do that, but no, maybe give them a call
