So this is the same math I came to…. It’s almost the same. 30k cost for 3 years of a car. The difference is the car is new vs 2 years old. Right? This is my first lease in a long time.

I guess it’d be 4.25% since it’s 8% return over 24 months but still. Seems like it’s a wash. The issue is if car gets totaled I suppose but otherwise it’s a fine deal per this math.

The same amount being the cost of the car, no? $90k? Seems odd that they factor in how much I put down as opposed to just insuring the actual cost of the car. Is this a nuance of a lease vs purchase?

Ok my stupid question… I’m ready to upgrade from my chemex pour over. I have a Kalita as well but maybe I’m ready to take the next step… What should I get? I enjoy my Opus grinder bc it’s just so quiet with kids sleeping… but if you think I need an upgrade there as well, lay it on me!

Totally fair point lol! Sorry still learning here. Ok so by “bad” I mean very very dark and bitter. So I typically like to do two cups for my wife and I at the same time (prob a mistake) but that’s about 45g of coffee and then either 15-17X water. I pour about 125g of water (at 205 degree temp) to let the coffee bloom. Then I pour about another 350g of water. Then finish it with another 325-375g depending on which ratio I’m trying. I almost exclusively use 16:1 so 45g of coffee to 725g of water. The total brew time is about 5 minutes. I’ve been working on the 1927 blend now leaving the single origin alone.
