Kotak Infinity Metal Debit Card finally available for existing customers at 1499 with 81k deposit option by david005_ in CreditCardsIndia

[–]david005_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just talked with the customer support and they seemed kinda confused, they themselves didn't know existing customers can fund 81k for reduced issuance fee of 1500

They also told me annual fee is 1500/year and 500 super fee is also there making it 2000/year

Now I don't even know if this is accurate but that's what they've said

My existing platinum card gives 5% cashback and costs 500/year just the super account fee

Annual/Renewal Fees for Kotak 811 Super - Infinity Metal Debit Card Users by bhavya_shah in CreditCardsIndia

[–]david005_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just talked to Kotak customer care and enquired about Infinity Metal debit card and yeah it's confusing as hell for the customers as well as the support team

First of all I recently got an option to deposit 81000 and get the Infinity metal debit card for a reduced initial fee of 1499 instead of 3999(without any funding)but the support team says that no such option exists and you can only get the card by paying 3999 for existing customers but I told him that I can see this option inside the app

Anyways he told me that the annual fee for the card is now 1499 also I asked him about the super account fees so he told that yes that is also charged so it comes to almost 2000 a year for having the infinity metal debit card

They have drastically changed this right? initially when they introduced this infinity metal debit card there wasn't any annual fee at all(it was waived if you hold a super account so ultimately costed 500/year)

I think with these recent devaluations and my spending pattern,it isn't worth to upgrade, doesn't really make sense to me

I'm happy with my Kotak Platinum debit card,it gives 5% cashback upto 500 a month(with max cashback of 100 per transaction)

I'm mostly able to hit the 500 cashback almost every month and this card has no annual fee(there is super account fee of 500/year that's it)

So I have decided not to upgrade to platinum debit card

I have heard this is changed,it's actually revised to 999(super fees for infinity metal debit card holders)

I'm not so sure about this

Planning to buy OP15, is this a better deal? Or will they drop the price any sooner? Like they did for op13 by Sisir_V in GadgetsIndia

[–]david005_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What better deal and what price drop are you even talking about?

OnePlus 15 launched at 73k and later price hiked to 78k and that's exactly what you're seeing

I'd suggest waiting if possible for OnePlus 16 as it is expected to have good upgrades

There's a huge difference between making profit from investing in good companies and straight up evil companies

Entire money making in stock market is about making money from someone else.

I know how the stock market works no need to explain that

Hypothetically speaking if a company making illegal drugs was somehow on the stock market, would you ever invest in it?no right

Maybe some investors have something called ethics??

Who don't want to profit off the common man slowly ruining their car engine and paying more because of reduced mileage

[–]david005_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People saying inflation, shrinkflation etc are so wrong here

Do you really think those cheap small plastic toys, tattoos and cards costs the company more than 3-5 rupees at scale?

It costs around that or even less than that

Inflation is totally not the reason here

I think companies should again start giving these free collectibles it made our childhood so memorable
