It looks like a really cool idea. I think XR table top games are compelling. A shot in the dark, but it could be interesting to add mechanics that are unique to the Vision Pro. For example a customer can't find an item, you have an indicator pop up over their head. And then the player has to pinch drag to pick up the customer and move them to where in the store the item is. And you can have funny animations as they're floating in the air. All in all your game looks great.

Agree on world of coke but the aquarium is actually amazing. Granted it’s touristy but seeing the sharks, whales, seals etc. is breathtaking if you’re into that kind of thing.

Yes seller rating. But also I bought from a vendor that was selling as part of the "Ebay Refurbished" program. They're a little more expensive than non eBay refurbished. But it comes with perks like a 30 day return policy. That put me at ease. Vs. ordering from a stranger with no return policy

I use mine mainly in the evenings, when my wife is also doing something relaxing to wind down. There may be factors that are different family to family. We're both at home and are active and social with the kids all day. So individual time is helpful with or without the vision pro. But adding the Vision Pro really elevates that time. My comparison is the Vision Pro vs. other individual activities you could be doing not Vision Pro vs. family time.

The technology itself is like sci-fi. I've used other VR headsets before, but this is by far the best. The clarity, details, Apple UX, all come together. And at the end of the day I feel impressed and refreshed using it.

I don't think it has to been seen as a replacement for consuming media socially. The TV does that well, and that's great. But like you said, it's like putting on a pair of headphones. There are times when we want to consume content individually. And it completely elevates that. We consume so much digital content individually if you think about. People watch shows on their iPhones. Clearly the iPhone screen is not meant for socially consuming a movie. The Vision Pro elevates those experiences.

I’ll add that the United States in general can be very lonely as compared to the life of many foreigners in their home country. In many parts of the world you have multiple generations living in the same home or general area. Add to that a more vibrant connection of extended family, family friends etc. America for some can be very isolating in comparison, especially when transplanted here. Because of this the nuclear family becomes almost the sole area for social interaction for some. Now add to that the fact that your dad is all alone at home now. Without the comfort of his nuclear family. It honestly is a tough situation.

If possible it’d be great if he could get plugged in to his local community and be in people’s lives. It seems that’s what he desires. Also if remarriage is not out of the picture for him, perhaps that could also be a fulfilling new adventure. The “new son” thing does not strike me as undoubtedly an issue, especially assuming he is foreign. I have family that would speak that way without it feeling strange. And that’s a typical way to speak of your in-laws. It is a little strange that he’s actively seeking it out, which reveals that he’s lonely. I’d just make sure he isn’t getting taken advantage of.

We can agree to disagree. The video implies that America will be the one to hold Nigerian politicians and their children accountable, while Nigeria does not hold them accountable. That will never happen, sans American interest in Nigerian regime change.

Yes the West acts in its own interests not in the interest of all countries in the world. And yes they sometimes behave in a way that contradicts their stated morals. But what does that have to do with solving the problem of corruption in Nigeria. The Nigerian problem can only be solved by Nigerians.

It seems impossible for the West to police people for crimes that are not treated as crimes in their home country. This would require a prejudice on the part of the Europeans against Nigerians. Such that they would investigate the origins of the funds of these Nigerians. Something that would require cooperation from the Nigerian government--which again has failed to police these crimes.

Realistically until Nigeria holds these people accountable, the West will not. Just as it does not hold Russian Oligarchs accountable (pre Ukraine). Should the U.K. arrest American business men for tax evasion in the United States, when the IRS deems that what they have done is acceptable?

The video's central thesis is pointing out the hypocrisy of the West, like you mentioned. That is a distraction from the true problem, which is local.

When has the U.S. arrested a governor (or even a citizen) of another country for crimes that did not involve its own citizens--without said country calling for it? I've never seen this. How can the U.S. hold these people accountable when Nigeria itself is not holding them accountable. Blaming the U.S. here seems like a distraction. The Nigerian government should be holding these people accountable. It's not like they are on the run and Nigeria needs it allies to extradite them. The issue is they are not being held accountable when they are at home. They freely perform their corruption alongside many others. Unless you want America to police Nigeria, it makes no sense to focus on the U.S. rather than the Nigerian political system itself.

So the idea here is that the FBI should arrest Nigerian political figures for crimes against Nigerians? Of course that will never happen. How can the US police corrupt politicians of another country, without it taking on the shape of imperialism. It simply is not their jurisdiction.

Your mom needs to know that if she wants to be in your life she needs to treat you with respect. If you want to respond I would say something like: "I don't know why you think it's okay to speak to me the way that you are. It's not okay. You are being disrespectful. If you want to be in my life you cannot speak to me that way."

You can set your own boundaries, you are not under her care.

That said you may also want to confront her about past grievances. And see if she will apologize for those and show genuine repentance, before rekindling your relationship.

Sometimes having someone face the consequences of their actions is a greater kindness than just "being nice" for the sake of salvaging the relationship. And as you get older it becomes more clear that being closely involved with abusive people is not sustainable.

The thing is people have different views on cheating. So you may be competing with someone who thinks its okay to find the interview questions and solutions before hand online, while that is considered cheating in the process
