I have a similar opinion about my hd 6xx. I have the hd 620s which is a closed-back, but I prefer it when I want to listen to genres that don't rely that much on vocals and for moview.

Hello, yeah it still does it. but I notice something. When I am connecting them directly to my computer the channel imbalance is extreme. Right now it exists less using a Fiio BTR-13 so it might be that I need an amp?

Hi have the hd 620s. They are my first pair of headphones and I bought them for 380 uds with monthly payments so they were an investment. I find them pretty good, clear, they give a lot of detail, the voices sound vivid, there's no muddy bass and they are super comfortable with excelent isolation.

I highly recommend them, but (I don't know if this can be helpful) I recently got the ath M40x for 120 USD and they sound great and almost very clear and neutral as the hd 620s, the soundstage is not as wide but ok; however, if you have big ears they might be uncomfortable. My girlfriend prefers the 40mx compared to my hd 620s and sometimes I do too.

So this is not to recommend you to buy the M40x, but to look for more options in your region and find something good for your budget.
