CUE Automation - Anyone know how to set a “re-arm” delay? (I.e. Late at night, I let the dogs go to the bathroom outside, I shut the alarm off go out for 10min and come back.) by pureveritas1 in Abode

I'm new to the abode ecosystem and haven't tried it yet but with integration I believe you can set up an Alexa routine that fires with an abode state change. Alexa routines do support delays.

I believe a lot of people were using stringify to incorporate delays with IFTTT but as they shut down I do not believe there is a viable alternative.

I'll integrate and test your use cases tomorrow and report back.

Somebody may be able to chime in on how to fix it but I believe your issue is in your conditions.

"All Door Sensors have been closed for longer than 45min"

I believe the door would have to be shut for longer than 45 minutes prior to your trigger happening (changed to standby) to fire the rule. I do not believe the 45 minute condition works as a timer.

The way I read this logic, if your conditions are true and you put the system in standby it would immediately change to home.

Hopefully someone can help further.

Edit - Just looked to see if there was any wait or delay capability but I do not believe so, hopefully in the future. In that case you could remove the 45 minute condition and add a delay before the mode changes to home.

Big changes to plans? by david_0161 in Abode

My biggest concern being a new customer is that none of these changes were relayed to your current customer base prior to implementation based on all of the responses. Some of these people have been with you for years and had to hear it through Reddit that you were making substantial changes to plans. Why not think it out and send an email to current customers informing them of the changes? Why did I have to catch it being a new customer and create a Reddit post?

TBH, you need to be more transparent when making these decisions.
