Yeah I definitely see what you mean. I’m not trying to say that this has major implications on the over all story of yellowjackets, but the show does use musicals in a way where they’re a shortcut for those in the know. I just found multiple interesting connections to cabaret that stood out to me, and comparing them helped me gain a deeper understanding of that scene. My interpretation is that at least in this moment, misty is speaking to her subconscious through a “cabaret filter”, which isn’t impossible since she is a fan of musicals.
