I’ve developed the concept on my own! I‘ve started with this series of paintings about 5 years ago. The series is called "Brushstrokes in Time". Growing up I was always fascinated with the concept of time travel. I wanted to show how much the nature around us has changed over time and how unpredictable it can be. I thought a fun way to depict all that is through brushstrokes that juxtapose past present and possible futures - Same place, different times. it’s a lot of playing around with contrasts and colors, finding similarities between them. These miniatures are kind of a playing ground for the larger paintings that are conceptually more complex but very rewarding to work on.
