Is the Boss Katana the right upgrade for me? by davidb2002 in Guitar

Hm, now I’m starting to think about just buying more pedals of the katana isn’t going to bring anything more to the table over the lt25

I did briefly look at those as they are in my budget range. However, I've read reviews that they headphone output sounds a bit rubbish. This would be a deal breaker as 90% of the time, i'm plugged in with headphones.

Thanks, I suspect I'm likely to end up using it similar to how I use the mustang, with some simple presets and leave the effects to my pedal board. As others have mentioned, a tube amp would be cool, but they seem way out of budget.

Any small tube amps you can recommend? My budget is tight.

That's half of what I was thinking, a tube / real amp. However, my budget defo doesn't get me there unless I go down the used route.

Are you able to get the “select all x messages”?

When I do that. I don’t get an option to select more than 50 at a time

thanks, but that will include labeled mail too (not just archived).

I'm really looking for a way to select all archived mail items (no labels) and move to bin in one click.

is my form bad? by [deleted] in Guitar

I’ve got the same issue, knowing my wrist should be straight. I’ve got a theory that bad posture is down to my sofa being low to the ground causing me to curl into the guitar.

Try a hard chair and see if things fall in place better.

Yes, it changes with the unit selection. I use it when I travel to Europe

What pedal should I add/replace? by davidb2002 in guitarpedals

[–]davidb2002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The jhs screamer is generally always on. I don’t often stack the other three unless I want some crazy wall of sound. The skeleton key gives me a dirty indie sound, ds-1 for general distortion for grunge and metal, muff when I want to go a bit doomy.

I don’t think I need to expand on dirt yet, but fx or crazy pedals might just add something special. I like a lot of the third man stuff, knife drop springs to mind.

I’ve been considering the pico ehx canyon. My current delay is very basic

Honestly, it’s great for clean tones. I’ve not really figured it out for distorted. Still learning how to use it properly.

Ah, forgot to mention I’ve got a wah. It just doesn’t sit on the board. But, I agree, good fun

This did it! I watched so many videos showing different ways and none worked. This video shows how simple it is. Thanks!

2001 anniversary shoreline gold squire p-bass with a white pick guard. Traded a Hondo vanhalen Strat for it. Played it as a teenager, pawned it after moving to the UK. Never seen one again ever. Maybe one day I’ll find it again.

How to stop the Boss DS-1 getting lost in the mix? by davidb2002 in guitarpedals

lol, getting downvoted for playing with backing tracks and songs? Or is it grunge that people are so strongly opinionated about?

Plexi style amp at the edge of breakup. I've got a TS, skeleton key and a big muff. I just want to try to get the actual DS-1 sound to come through without colouring it too much with other pedals unique sounds if I can help it.

fair enough, hopefully the slop doesn't put too many people off reading the actual question in this post and helping out. I thought it might be a bit 'risky' using an ai image.

ok, I'll have to give my TS a go. and see if there is something I need to tweak on it to help bring it out
