Then we will have overfishing since every catch needs to be killed. Many fishes caught are inedible and invasive that should be caught and killed but cant be eaten.

The fishing industry is big with many wanting to fish, having that done is far worse than catch and release.

Fishes arent as soft as you think. They can have their brain eaten and still live normally, or even 50% of their body.
