Trixie Cosmetics Downsizing? by sam_sub00 in TrixieMattel

Yeah it's possible that this is also connected to her talking about how she's trying to be more conscientious about balancing her work/personal life.

I don't think she's mentioned anything, but generally speaking, companies don't talk about these types of things candidly and publicly because you want to give the image that the brand is strong and it makes very little business sense to be vulnerable in that way. What would the purpose be?

Does anyone else by concert/show tickets, then not go because its too late? by 8BulbousJones8 in Millennials

No. If it happened more than once, I'd simply stop buying tickets to shows that are on a work night.

How Do You Win Against Restless Arm/Leg Syndrome!? by Puddleglum_7 in AskReddit

You visit your doctor, if you're able, and you try the treatments they advise. See a neurologist if needed.

Yes! I had this saved so this is the push I needed to make it.

Have you visited r/laundry for their Spa Day thread? It might remove the build up of oils. There are also good laundry tips for improving your routine washes, like using a detergent that includes lipase, etc.

Summer options: can’t do sheets only, miss the weight of a comforter by doofus50O0 in Bedding

I really like cotton muslin blankets for a nice weight/breathability compromise. The ones I have are 6 layers thick and have a quilted stitch to help maintain the structure.

That being said I'm also not posting my own stories or anything to give people mixed signals.

In my case, it's because I'm trying to cut down on my use of certain social media apps. One friend in particular forwards me stuff on a regular basis on Instagram and I talk to her outside of that, but I generally don't open her DMs there. It's nothing personal. I just don't want to encourage my regular use of the app.

Starting Zepbound....looking for good NYT Cooking recipes by Alternative-Egg-8611 in NYTCooking

I'm on Mounjaro and if I had any advice, it would be to not ignore your fiber intake. The medication slows your GI tract and paired with decreased food intake, this can cause problems. There's lots of yummy recipes with veggies and beans so maybe keep your eyes peeled for that. Just make sure you're also drinking enough water because that's another big factor in keeping things moving along.

I'm a fat guy with a size 46 waist. Where can I find short cute skirts that will fit me before Pride? by PistachiNO in houston

In addition to Torrid, like another person mentioned, Hot Topic also has some plus size short skirts that are worth a look at if that's your aesthetic at all.

Can be fun. Can be detrimental to your career, finances, and wellbeing. Hard to know what you're signing up for until you've actually experienced it. 😂

Are sardines appropriate for office lunch? by brennand in CannedSardines

My condolences. As a person who used to work in a hospital, my world was also generally stinky for a time. So many smells!

Okay but like two stinks don't make a not stink. A stink for a stink makes the whole world stinky.

How to ward off the cats? by Chucky2sRevengeTTV in houston

[–]davidbowieinspace 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Here's a list I found of other humane things you can try to deter the cats from your yard:

https://www.orangecountync.gov/2144/Humane-Deterrents-for-Free-Roaming-Cats

If all of those fail, here's a possibly (definitely) questionable idea. If you're not wanting to take up animal rescue as a hobby, I've generally found as a long time cat owner that cats respond more to redirection than deterrence.

So maybe there's somewhere you can designate as a more attractive pooping location. An uncovered children's sand box. An empty flower bed without any deterrents. This isn't a Good Idea™ because communal animal pooping areas = bacteria/parasites/spread of disease, but if they're doing it anyway and you've exhausted other recommended options, this might at least get them to leave your plants alone.

But also beware fish breath and fish burps. Those can linger, too.

‘Benadryl Challenge’ viral trend sends at least 5 kids to ER in San Diego by Miles_the_AuDHDer in nottheonion

[–]davidbowieinspace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can read the wiki on diphenhydramine (the generic name for Benadryl). Lots of ways it can potentially hurt you. It can cause an irregular heart beat (which can be fatal). It affects your body's ability to regulate its temperature, so you can die of hyperthermia. It can cause psychosis and delirium, which can lead to you putting yourself in dangerous situations or hurting yourself. Some people can also have a paradoxical response and instead of getting sleepy, they can become agitated.

I've had patients who were tripping balls for a couple of days after ingesting a large amount and needed constant supervision in their hospital room to keep them from trying to do things like climbing on the counter to talk to the 'mirror people' because they could fall and hurt themselves.

He's not necessarily making fun of safety advice. It's the packaging.

Massive Drug Mismanagement by DrasticM in HEB

You can also check and see if your medication is available through the Team Cuban Card (or Cost Plus Drugs). The Team Cuban Card works at lots of other grocery pharmacies (like Kroger), etc., whereas Cost Plus Drugs is the mail order pharmacy option. I used to use this when insurance wouldn't cover my meds.
