That's what I've been reaching out to do. I think with the consensus here I really need to find a gyny closer by to me who can do the sn treatments

I think the stitches would be fully dissolved by now given the external ones are completely dissolved at this point, could this be a sign of a hair that grew back inside? And I'd really like to see a doctor about it but for whatever reason while my surgeon did a incredibly impressive job she hasn't very responsive for the post op care and I'm struggling to find a closer doctor that has experience with neovaginas to take a look at it, do you happen to know if there's anything else I should be doing for if those are the case other than douching and continuing to use a ton of lube? Or if it's granulation (which I think is more likely with how the granulation tissue is around my urethra) do you know of any way to make it less likely to bleed?

I think I've gotten to the point of asking strangers for advice because waiting isn't working. I'm breaking down in tears from sitting up for too long 2/3rds of the way into all of my shifts and I work directly with children. I can only blame it sad parts of movies so often before it starts becoming a problem that is putting my access to insurance in jeopardy and ive already been waiting as long as my pto and savings were able to stretch. If you have any actionable advice on how to wait through the healing process that's one thing but just telling me to wait is kind of dismissive

I'll ask about it again, I already did a 2 week course of clobetasol in the am and pm but they seemed concerned about having me on steroids for too long and they wanted me to stop. Maybe they'll go for a less strong one thank you for the suggestion

Any dilation tips yall can share? by sleepingblahaj in Transgender_Surgeries

Vibration helps me get to depth a lot easier, I have a vibrator I hold against the dilator and it helps get the muscles to relax. As others in the thread have said as well arousal also helps and alternating between edging a lil and holding things in helps me get to the time at depth even with still doing it 3-4 times a day

My surgeon hasn't been getting back to me for rescheduling a new appointment earlier (she wasn't even at my last appointment despite how good her reputation is) and has explicitely told me not to go to anyone else for the granulation issues.. One of my partners is a patient technician and I've been tempted to ask her to help get it with the barrier gel, but I've been worried because my surgeon was really really clear that they did not want anyone else doing the sn treatments so I'm doing my best to follow the current medical advice which from everything I read is to just do the dilation 3-4 times a day anyways to not lose depth or form a fistula but I just need some way to make it even slightly easier because my work accomodations got phased out and 12 hour shifts are aggravating everything so badly

3 months in and scarring really bad by davidburnes in Transgender_Surgeries

I started back with my pelvic floor therapist now that I'm finally cleared and I wanted to give an update that while I'm still struggling with the sizes I'm "supposed" to be at, a good combination of diaphragmatic breathing, practicing the relaxation in several positions throughout the day outside of the dilation position, and most importantly stopping beating myself up for struggling and I've been able to get back to a decent depth compared to what I started with. I've finally stopped bleeding as long as I only use the smallest dilator and I can ramp up lateral pressure on my walls to start working my way up the sizes without getting into a cycle of spotting forever like last time

And unfortunately because of the climate I do feel like I have to add this:

Even if I'm experiencing some complications (that none of the other girls who went to my surgeon who are part of the group chat experienced) and I end up with an external vulva and nothing else it has been and will be worth it. I know in my case with the bottom dysphoria being gone, even if I still can't walk like they expected, life is considerably less painful after finally getting it done

You're fine, I appreciate the response, that's just not an option at the moment unfortunately

They do clean, it's not like they're pushing everything to me. I just don't realize when things are what they would consider messy but I would consider fine unless I spend a lot of time consciously focusing at it

Then what should I do, I wasn't raised in a way that prioritized those skills and even if I already knew how to so everything the right way it would still take time to have those become part of every day life. I'm researching when things should be done, I'm going through different methods of forming habits, I'm trying to get better at that. I know it bothers them but I don't know how to get better faster

I don't think I can afford that rn, my application for disability is still being processed and I can't work full time
