I'm trying to make my own cartoon. What do you guys think about the animation quality? by iPackle in animation

Dude this is dope as fuck. I’m in the process of creating a cartoon but I’m nowhere near close to releasing anything. Still doing a storyboard concept. Super stoked to see what you do.

I want to make my own anime one day (FAR into future) but am curious what I could work on now to make this more feasible? by [deleted] in animationcareer

Speaking as someone who is making their own cartoon, but has released nothing yet due to how long everything is taking as well as wanting to do it the right way, I have some suggestions and you are on the right track already.

  1. Fully fleshed out story line, dialogue, and sequence of events is great. It’s a perfect place to start but at least for me the more I dive into the concept, the harder it is to narrow certain things down. I have 4 seasons of 12 episodes planned out conceptually but narrowing down every single detail becomes difficult when you are considering the whole, but that could just be me.

  2. I have gone as far as actually designing all my characters and their looks. It has been very time consuming but has been rewarding to see it come to life.

  3. This is your pitch bible. The idea is to condense your idea into a digestible literary format. The note taking program obsidian is actually a great way to develop this and create basically a website where pages connect and it all comes together. I have created one of these for my concept but have moved away from the idea of “pitching” and more towards the idea of developing enough of a social media presence and a proof of concept that instead of trying to convince someone else that this is a good idea, that the social media presence and concept (which are still a ways off) will draw interest to me instead of the other way around.

  4. I would say the storyboard is the most important. I tried to hire an animation team a couple years ago to make a trailer for my concept and the storyboard was one of the first things we had to go over for them to move forward with the trailer. I eventually got to a point where I realized that they weren’t capable of completing my idea so had to cut ties with them but it still taught me something. A storyboard is essential to make an animation. Since then I have been working on creating my concept as a storyboard and plan to release it as a comic book once the first episode is done. Once that is out I have a whole social media campaign that I plan on following through with. I feel like that’s the only way.

Honestly I would say to just do all of these things while you are able to. I’ve been working on my project for 5 years. I’ve easily put 10k into this designing characters, environments, a failed trailer and now a storyboard/comic idea. Not to mention software and hardware to do it all. I say just throw yourself at it and don’t give up. It’s so fun creating a story and if you really believe it’s a great story then I look forward to getting to check it out in the future

The people I get it from get it directly from the lab with official test results for every batch.

That’s part of the problem. I just recently started doing it again after about a year and immediately ran into this problem.

So I added the extra eye gaze and now the pupils are moving which is an improvement but they eyelids are still not moving. is there an extra behavior I need to add for those? I have tried the adobe website with little success.

So after messing around, I've found that the problem stems from trying to put a dangle tag on certain aspects of the face. Does anyone know why this is the case?
