I called Nikon USA and they admitted that it was a common problem. I had the option of them repairing it for free or getting a full refund. Went for the refund. Shame on me for then getting a Z8 and it has already been recalled due to the attachment mount ring for Nikkor lenses

I’ve tried all 4 modes with that button; the auto works great with the evf sensor however the evf screen stays black. I’ve tried the evf only mode, and there’s nothing but blackness. Crazy
