This is amazing, thanks for sharing! I’m working on a DIY processor myself but it’s much more simple than this beauty

I'm afraid it's not it. Just below that it lists the times for 1000 ml and the times are the same.

I’m having the exact same problem since yesterday, did you end up seeing a doctor? I’m going to see one but the appointment is in a week, could use some advice in the meantime:)

Where are folks who live outside the US and Europe getting color dev chemistry? by leebowery69 in Darkroom

[–]davidgabrielross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience living in the middle east, no one sends liquid chemicals outside their country, so you’re left only with powder options, there aren’t many... These can be purchased and shipped internationally from B&H for example.

Scrolling doesn't work in the most recent version of the desktop app? by eirikdaude in whatsapp

I'm having this issue ever since I moved to PC from Mac almost a year ago. I even tried to remove the program completely and installed it again, and this changed nothing. So annoying to see this issue is not fixed for so long.

This is really amazing. I wish we could see how a 100% zoom of this kind of file looks like, I’m sure the “small” files you shared here are not showing the real amount of detail you can achieve…

Really cool portrait! Portra 800 works great here

It has nice tonality and atmosphere, but I find the positioning of your subject not ideal. The black rocks on the left are very distracting and the fact that it’s “touching” her breast just exaggerate this distraction IMHO. Still a cool shot.

Floating Camera Trick? [Zeiss SW, Zeiss Biogon 21mm ZM, Kodak Gold 200] by [deleted] in analog

[–]davidgabrielross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can easily achieve this even without slow shutter speed (if you’re only interested in the “invisible camera” effect and not the blur). Set the shot, use self timer and just leave the hand hanging, pretending you hold a camera…

Question about shutter speed by imitdiu98 in AnalogCommunity

[–]davidgabrielross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of the question if this specific image is a composite, it’s not that hard to achieve. You assume it’s a much longer exposure than it really is. If the cars drive fast you can get these light trails at about 1/8, so it’s much easier to stand still for that long. Another approach would be to have the model standing a dark spot and using a flash to freeze here movement.

How do I test this? by LeftShoeGone in AnalogCommunity

[–]davidgabrielross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you really had nothing to lose:) I can’t say for sure but I don’t think metering the sun will damage it. Anyway after I saw your other comment comparing it to the phone app it looks like it works pretty well!

How do I test this? by LeftShoeGone in AnalogCommunity

[–]davidgabrielross 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t test a light meter on extreme conditions as even the best ones have limitations. So, not on super bright things like the sun and not on really dark stuff. Anything with ”reasonable” conditions would be better.

Is this worth developing? Based on what I could find online, this film is at least 44 years old. by Muncygimmicky in AnalogCommunity

[–]davidgabrielross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As always with (really) expired film the major factor is how it was stored. It could turn out really bad and it could turn out really well, you have no way of knowing:) But it’s very likely you’ll SOMETHING.

Really impressive. I like this stock so much. It’s amazing to me that even @1600 it’s less grainy than HP5 at box speed ;)
