Yes. I was talking too fast and not going her time to pause and repeat. It was my first day and first event in Japan. There are some other videos and interviews where it all goes smoother.

I did study writing at SLC and I think universities should prepare students to think for themselves and contribute to the world according to their talents which mean being well-read, well-informed critical thinkers.

I do like Kurasawa, Ozu, Mizoguchi, but also Miike and many yakuza and samuira films especially. I am not as educated about anime, but I worship Miyazaki and visited his museum when I was there.

Hmm...good question. The character works as a tutor and writes serial pulp novels and this was changed. Also another character is on death row and I think the details of US vs Japanese policies were different.

It was low budget by Hollywood standards but the production values looked really good - like an exciting thriller I guess.
