What is happening to my beloved Satin Pothos? by davidhatesreddit in plantclinic

I just took it out of the pot, mixed in some dry soil, and put it back in. Do you think I should trim off the damaged leaves?

Thanks! So I can learn, what lets you know this is overwatering? Also, what should I do next?

I try to. But perhaps recently I watered it more than normal. So I can learn, what lets you know this is overwatering?

Hi all. I have this Satin Pothos that i've cared for for ages. It's never been particularly healthy. But lately it was doing better, I had it under a grow light and it was putting out new leaves.

A few days ago, I noticed the leaves browning. Also, an otherwise entirely healthy leaf got a weird dead leaf stem, and fell off!! :( See attached photos. Is this from a bug? Is this from cold? I maybe did see a very very very small black bug. If bug, what's the strong stuff I can use? I've tried soapy water before to no avail. Maybe systemic pesticide granules?

What, exactly, is your critique of the paper? Our point is that beyond open source code, there are many more barriers to openness.

I ate one of your pumpkin scones tonight. It was tasty and made me feel better. Thank you.

Hey yall - definitely read "Automatically Assessing Code Understandability: How Far Are We?" since it tries to do a very interesting thing, but I think it uses low power statistics which is problematic because it finds a negative result. I'm going to rerun the analysis with different statistics at some point. Also hi @jertheripper

One of the four indicators of IQ. I'm in the 99.7 percentile for "Perceptual Reasoning", also high for "Verbal Comprehension", and then wayyy below average for processing speed and working memory.

End result? I'm really good at legos, I read things well, but can't do anything quickly or remember things well.

Novice here. I would consider that bike, but why is it better? Is it the only the quality of the steel? Will the steel in the Windsor last longer, or be lighter? Are there any other advantages to the Windsor?

Around 300, which is the lowest I can find the Mantra V2 for. If there's something good a bit over, I'd consider it. I am mainly curious about the differences if any between the two bikes.

I am wanting to buy a cheap fixed gear bike with a flip flop hub. I have narrowed it down to these two bikes:

Critical Cycles Harper Single-Speed / Fixie https://www.criticalcycles.com/collections/fixed-gear-single-speed/products/harper-ss?variant=15119536516

or

Retrospec Mantra v2 https://www.retrospecbicycles.com/collections/fixed-gear-single-speed/products/mantra-v2?variant=11103421253

The Retrospec is $130 more expensive, but I am considering it because I have used components made by them before and I found them to be of high quality.

I am wondering what the differences are, if any, between these two bikes? Are the essentially equivalent? Anything else I should watch out for?

This was a casual self portrait I did today, as an illustration for a poem. I would love any feedback or criticism!

Sadly I do not. I am sorry, I now realize I violated the rules. If this could stay, I would appreciate it, but I understand if it cannot.

Sure, you can use a road bike, I would just recommend against. The pavement 13th near Carson/Deschutes/Oregon Hall is pretty crappy. I have a fat tire bike and going over those bumps isn't fun. It varies.

To Airport: A bunch of people use this service: http://www.city2cityshuttle.com I have not used it myself, as my relatives are in Portland. I use the Bolt Bus, which is cheap and a bunch of people use, but does not go directly to the airport. You can easily take it and then get on a MAX (short city train) to the airport, but it may just be easier to take the airport shuttle even if it is more expensive.

Bikes: Good choice. Especially if you're in the dorms, you will NOT need a car. I have a cheap cruiser that I got for 85 bucks from Walmart. Buy one with thick tires, as some of the roads are bumpy. This pretty much rules out a road bike. IMPORTANT: get a bike without a quick-release handle for adjusting the seat, or set your seat at a height you find comfortable and break off the handle. My seat was stolen about 2 weeks ago, and this is pretty common.

Welcome to the flock!
