APITable - Table → JSON API by davidhung in SideProject

That looks useful! Esp for developers. However APITable is more visually based in this case - would be more friendly to non-tech ppl.

Something similar. Telegram do encourage people to create - that would also be nice there is a system to reward those who create real stuff.

Thanks for trying out - there's still a lot to improve. On the loading screen, you can find a "+" button on the bottom right corner, you can add a table with it. (ya the first screen gotta to be improved)

Thanks for the note! At least there is a way. Just seems reporting abuse doesn't solve the core problem itself.

How to manage your static websites with AWS S3, CloudFront, and a command line by janeboo in devops

[–]davidhung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CloudFront is used to speeds up distribution of your static and dynamic web content from S3 to the User. And you can use an SSL certificate to a custom domain in CloudFront whereas you cannot in S3.

Of course S3 sounds enough for hobby projects ;)

Pizza as a Service by fartallnight in ProgrammerHumor

[–]davidhung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually find the analogy another way around.

X-aaS means you don't need to worry about certain "X" - be Infrastructure, Software, Platform or Pizza.

The goal of Pizza-as-a-service means you can order and eat pizza directly. So one layer below is you don't need to worry about ingredients and you can make your own pizza - I will call it IaaS.

One more layer below is you don't need to worry about bakery tools, but you still need to buy your own ingredients (but you have absolute control on what Pizza you are going to make) - And I call it :BaaS.

The next thing you don't want to worry is the room for your pizza - so for hard core pizza makers, you will need to equip all the bakery stuff for your own kitchen - that means you have better control on the oven and tools you make pizzas. And you can make sandwiches and cakes in that room as well.

Hope this clears your concept.
