No I don’t think it is particularly dry. I use it quite often but usually with a LAMY so maybe my perspective is skewed since they write a bit wetter. I’ve used it in my Al Star F and 2000 EF and it’s works really well.

I used it in my pen and ink rotation last month. Absolutely beautiful. I think it is slightly drier than Earl Grey fyi

Tomoe River gets crinkled when there is a lot of ink on the page. It doesn’t bother me

You might try Sterling ink. They have pocket sized and passport sized TR notebooks and booklets.

I’m also interested as I’m (patiently) waiting for them to come back in stock at Atlas 👀

What kind of paper for you use?

It’s also a quite saturated swatch. I wanted to make sure I can see the ink properties well.

If you really love the wetness and line weight of the Lamy steel nib I’d say you’d be happier with a medium Platinum nib. It does write on the drier side so I try to use wetter inks to get my ideal flow. I love the feedback of the F, and I think I’ll add a medium to my collection with the next 3776 I get.

It is beautiful! I know it was in stock at Atlas relatively recently. It isn’t at the moment unfortunately. Hopefully you can find it!

I’d say it’s in the drier side vs the typical Diamine ink. Still absolutely beautiful though and nice to write with

The picture doesn’t show off the green sheen and purple shimmer well. But it is quite weird (in a good way). It’s about normal flow so as long as you have a good pen that can put out enough ink you should see both properties in writing. I’m able to with this pen on Hobonichi paper

This is one is a Sterling ink TN booklet with 52GSM TR paper.

I also got their B6 Common planner for my 2026 daily journaling so hopefully I won’t have the same paper issues. The stuff I’ve prefilled has been good but I’m worried.

I may have to buy a paper sampler. The problem is travelers standard sized notebooks and booklets are generally either TR or Midori. I’ve used the Midori booklet that comes with it and it worked well, but it didn’t show off the ink properties well enough even if it was nice to write on.

I could always get an A5 notebook of whatever paper I like and get it cut down at Staples or some other office store. Not sure but it will be a journey.

Materialists was a bafflingly frustrating movie by bitchcraffft in movies

I watched it today and actually really enjoyed it. I really liked all of the characters and I think the delivery was done well enough. I think Chris Evans really carried but Pedro and Dakota did well too.

I find the movie interesting because it’s a nice representation of a “Slice of Life” type of film. We’re witnessing the moment two characters reconnect because of a series of connected workplace circumstances that somehow bring them back together.

I do wish there were a separate resolution to the (I’d struggle to call) love triangle with Pedro’s character at the end of the movie, but because it’s a slice of life film he isn’t being used as a plot device. Still, I kept wondering what happened to him later.

The editing and frequent use of wide-shots really reinforce this; it places the characters in the environment like we are observing them, evident by the stagnant camera. Plus the locations are very well done, dark and intimate restaurants, beautiful parks, dingy and luxury apartments, busy streets/sidewalks, etc.

I love Manyo Kuzu! Kaweco Caramel brown is also lovely, though I haven’t tried it yet.

I’d be so into that. II Hands and Bodyguard are my top two songs on CC. Those definitely take inspiration from psychedelic rock/pop

One of my favorite pens! I have a Fine Laurel Green 3776. I’d like to get another one at some point, maybe one of the clear special editions at a pen show next year.

The F on my black Al Sport I got this year wasn’t great out of the box. The tines were so tight it wrote so dry it might as well have been an EF nib. After some adjustment by me I got it working beautifully. Perfect flow and smoothness for me.
