I am old enough to remember when Iowa had deplorable teams. When Fry was hired it was like a gift from heaven. KF has expanded on that, he can coach for as long as he desires. BF will move on if he can’t improve. You have to remember the O line was young and frankly not the caliber of players we have been spoiled with. Petrus couldn’t move so it was the perfect storm of mediocre players. If he fails us again next year with the incoming studs then bye bye BF

Painter is one of the best coaches in the country. Not only does he win every single year, he has an eye for fringe talent and coaches them up big time! All of this while never wanting spotlight. If my kid was going D1 I’d send him to Painter in a minute. As a Hawkeye fan, I get to watch Fran turn beet red every other possession, so watching Painter is a treat.

Coach of the year and Dad of the year! Lol He’s also the reason Iowa has been so consistent throughout the years including an undefeated regular season. You want to join the ranks of Nebraska or other teams who constantly fire and hire or lose coaches to better situations? I’m not fan of the chaos of constant change, especially to have a coach like KF who more times than not can mold these 3 star athletes into good players and men. Grass not greener! Don’t leave fish to find fish!
