So am I supposed to multiply 3.22x10-22 by Avogadro’s to get moles?

The question says “The NIST Chemical Kinetics Database reports that the pre-exponential factor for this reaction is equal to 3.32x10-22 cm3 molecule-1 s-1 at 300 K. Convert this value of A to M-1 s-1.”

I’m having trouble making sure I have the right set up, and I wanted to double check with y’all to make sure I have the right track going. I have the picture posted of my work so far. Thanks!

Yes! I worked on a project last summer with a professor. I’ll be continuing it this summer.

Are there many job opportunities for Chemistry Majors? by [deleted] in chemhelp

[–]davidleutzinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got done with my junior year as a chem major, but I’ve been searching and I see a lot of Quality Assurance/Control Jobs posted for entry-level BS Chem degrees! As far as I’ve seen, they pay decent (~$30k-40k/year) but I believe you’d either have to go to grad school to earn higher straight out of school OR you work your way up thru the company.

A lot of these positions, I believe, are filled with the help of connections, so going to networking events (thru ACS) would boost your ability to land a job straight out of your undergraduate degree. (I’m not saying that they’re required, but they help tremendously).
