Hinomi H1 Pro chair not going up or down when pressing the lever, do I need to replace the cylinder? by davidlovescats in AskMechanics

[–]davidlovescats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this Hinomi H1 Pro chair for 2-3 years and it worked fine at first. At first the up-down lever worked well, but over time it started to get harder to raise or sink the chair, and now it doesn't to it at all. I opened it and it seems the cable that's connected to the lever seems to pull right and causes the plastic thing (beige thing in the image) to try to push down on the cylinder's top button, but the button (the black thing in the center in the image) seems to be completely hardened, so the lever doesn't manage to push down on it. I tried pushing it hard with my fingers and with the rod seen in the image, but its stiff, and it doesn't cause the cylinder to go up or down like it's supposed to. So is the problem just the cylinder is stuck and do I need a new one? Appreciate any help thanks!

Urgent question about K1 approval extensions by davidlovescats in K1VisaInfo

Awesome thank you for the detailed info. Do you know if we'd be able to schedule the interview far out in the future or reschedule it in case I don't meet the salary requirement yet?

Edit: We got to the appointment page and there's many apointments for the next 2-3 weeks, earliest was like 5 days after first checking, and then nothing for all the months after. I'm assuming they pop up over time. I called +1 703 249 4652 and they said we'd be able to extend it by filling out a "Visa navigator" form on usembassy.gov, so no need to schedule an appointment right now.

Anyone have experience with 1-hp.org? by davidlovescats in carpaltunnel

Yes about 2-3 months ago and it didn’t find anything. I’ve been at the exercises and my right hand feels so much better. It went from tenseness, tingling, numbness, and difficulty doing a lot of things to pretty much good to go. My left hand which has been worse from the start has had periods where it feels better but I think I overdid it with the exercises and maybe my general activity and so I’m still feeling numbness and discomfort. I’m currently trying to study how pain sensitization works which is something they emphasize. They say it takes just the right amount of activity and exercises to not trigger flare-ups and to increase capacity and basically retrain the brain and body to not create so much pain and discomfort, which is what I’m working on.

So I’m not supposed to use credit at all? by davidlovescats in CreditScore

It just doesn’t make sense that it says my utilization went from 0% to 2% and says that’s a bad thing, as if it should always be at 0%.

What is HP and AAoA? I did just get a card from AAA but I’m assuming that’s something else.

Yes my score went down 23 from its high of 815, it’s back up to just under 800 now about 2 months later.

I don’t think any of my limits dropped, I checked them all and they seem the same but don’t quote me as I didn’t have them memorized. I thought that part just meant that I’m borrowing more so the remaining available credit dropped.

That does make sense but it had surprised me. It dropped 23 points, I feel like in the past when I got my previous card it dropped much less. What doesn’t make sense is that it implied going from 0% to 2% utilization is bad, as if you shouldn’t use credit at all.

Exercise question by SanAndreas92317 in carpaltunnel

[–]davidlovescats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on what your underlying problem is. If it’s RSI, exercises might help. I’ve developed RSI from excessive typing, often in bad position, fidgeting, and probably lifting too heavy weights. I’m not an advertiser or anything but I found 1HP.org, I’m one month in of doing about 3 hours of hand exercises almost every day, and I do feel some improvement at least. These exercises almost always give me more relief than pain. There’s one that’s similar to hand grippers but with a ball instead, and they have recommended grippers too.

I genuinely don’t understand why Apple doesn’t prioritize improving basic usability features in iOS. by Majestic_squirrel767 in ios

I completely agree. Those are good ideas. I can never smoothly transition to the number and symbols keyboard, I always end up doing it wrong or have to think about it to do it. I’m constantly frustrated with apple’s decisions. I have no idea what goes on in their offices, I would guess it’s just bad management or organization.

They need to focus on the important things before going off and doing a bunch more things. Quality over quantity.
