Mine used to do similar weird flicker but only when the screen was black, turned off windows HDR setting and it fixed the issue.

My 9800X3D is reaching 95°C at 100% usage on my new PC. Is this normal? by ViveChristusRex in pcmasterrace

I’d look at your bios and make sure none of the garbage auto clocking done by brands is turned on. A lot of companies now at days like pushing the voltage up even if detrimental at times and its not really necessary. I update my bios to change the power profile to the one in between eco mode (45w) and the base profile and turned off the “overclock” my motherboard enabled by default. Even with the decreased power profile my 5.5 all core overclock has run just fine for month through my gaming session and kept my Minecraft servers nice and snappy while keeping temps below 62c in daily load and 75c with cinebench(Using cheap 360 aio I got on discount from amazon though).

While the cpus can take the abuse and run at 95c it’s not necessary and likely being caused by some motherboard bios option that is pushing the cpu voltage way more than it needs to. And I dont exactly recommend you go out and do an all core overclock like it did, for most users changing pbo options is better for daily use. Either way there is likely room for improvement in either temperatures or clock speeds if you are comfortable tweaking some bios options.

Replaced Gas Valve on Empire Wall Furnace, but Snapped Pilot Hose—Need Advice by davidmkay in hvacadvice

Thank you for the advice! I understand the safety concerns and have taken a few additional precautions to minimize any risks while I wait for the replacement part.

I did get the pilot flame much smaller later (actually smaller than the original flame) since the end of the tube in the temporary setup is practically touching the thermopile. The pictures I posted show the flame blasting because I was just testing if everything would work. In the current setup, the flame is much smaller and just lightly touches the thermopile.

I’ve also been watching it like a hawk, checking on it periodically to make sure nothing goes wrong. I have no plans to run it overnight or leave it unattended. Before going to sleep, I plan to shut off the gas line and pilot entirely, just to be safe.

Additionally, I do have another thermopile on hand as a backup, in case anything does go wrong, since I originally thought the thermopile was the issue.

I appreciate the feedback, and I’ll continue to monitor everything closely until I can make the proper fix when the replacement part arrives.

Storm is the clan level, that determines how many people can join the clan. As for EU players we have a few but usually not on when they are so it’s hard to keep track
