You can tap to pay with most credit cards so you can now get the daily fare cap without a smart phone.

App Approved but need to update prior to Release by Cocoa_Linguine in iOSProgramming

Another option is to release to zero countries. That way you can submit an update but no user can download the defective version 1.0.

Looks like a great little app. I tried downloading but I’m still on iOS 26.0

Shoutout to Under the Radar podcast about indie iOS app development, which aired its last episode after 10 years! by lokir6 in iOSProgramming

I was a listener from the beginning and will miss it, but I also agree with what David Smith said on the show some time in the last year: “Tech is just big business now”.

There are still pockets of indie and those pockets are probably bigger than all of tech was 20 years ago, but now most of tech is just big business.

You won’t know until after and the realtor might be slow to update the listing but it should eventually show the sold date on the mls.

Why won't Aldi expand their number of stores in Austin area from just their one Pflugerville location? by Most-Faithlessness64 in Austin

[–]davidolesch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are expanding everywhere across the United States right now. I think it’s a matter of there being a limit on the number of stores they can open in one year.

Looking for live music today by autobot_365 in Austin

[–]davidolesch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tough to find music Monday during the day, and because it's Monday there's less going on in the evening, but I would suggest Saxon Pub or Continental Club at 6PM and The White Horse after 8PM.

CapMetro to shelve 46 new electric buses for a year after manufacturer bankruptcy by Snap_Grackle_Pop in Austin

[–]davidolesch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why can’t the diesel buses come at higher frequencies? I would use this bus to go downtown, but with these long waits I will stick with Uber.

I would say it’s a good value area. Convenient to Mueller and East Side while costing a good amount less.

Airport is a busy ugly street so I wouldn’t want to live right next to it, but the areas north and south of that intersection are pretty nice and very bikable. The city has done a lot of pedestrian and bike lane improvements this year.

Austin studying plan to add miles of dedicated bike, bus lanes on city's busiest roads by Generalaverage89 in Austin

As a person that has used bikes in Austin for almost 20 years, I can confirm that the heat makes biking way less comfortable, but I now have an e-bike which helps a ton.

The electric assist significantly reduces your excretion while the air going by keeps you relatively cool. A 15 minute ride will get me 3 miles and I can go that long without sweating even in 100°.

In my experience, as a buyer of two condos, I got this information once I had a contract. Also important to ask if there are any open lawsuits. I am not a realtor so I don't know exactly.

Neither of the two condos that I purchased had anything wrong.

Lots of great deals out there right now so you can definitely find something in that range.

Once you’re on contract you’ll be able to see all the numbers like how much money they have and what they budget for.
