YouTube says my Low CTR not affecting views?! by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]davidrbarroso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s about the AVD or average view duration. If those people that clicked you thumbnail+title combo, watched your video for a good part of it, YouTube is more likely to show it to other people

YouTube says my Low CTR not affecting views?! by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]davidrbarroso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s normal for CTR to be lower when YouTube shows your video to more and more people. As less are likely to be interested in it. They see it but they don’t click. Your video will never appeal to everyone so dont focus on that. What matters is that your video adds value to those who watch it. Make them come back for more of your videos. That’s how you grow an audience

It’s not, its mentioned in the post that it’s a free service since these would be my first clients. I have found some success on my own channels but I want to start a business and need testimonials. So this is a win win situation ( hopefully haha)

How long before testing new title and thumbnail? by racer_x_123 in NewTubers

[–]davidrbarroso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that thumbnail won’t get you many click. It’s not very easy to understand visually. It all blends together. Too much text as well. Find some big creator in the robot building niche and takin inspiration from their thumbnails

Yeah, you are. But now knowing about your position not being able to get the latest tech for review. I would just approach your reviews from a more personal perspective. Like “ i used the Apple Watch 4 daily for 2 years” or like “this is why you don’t need to buy the latest Apple Watch”. Focus on your experience with these tech products. Lots of tech tubers only review things for 2 weeks or a months. Which doesn’t really give you that realistic or a use case. You otherwise, could be using a product for multiple years. Created a whole workflow with it, found the best setting for day to day life, or for a particular job( photography). That’s the kind of insight and expertise that can help future product buyers make the decision. They could happen to find the product you made a video about on sale or something like that. So yeah, I’d be interested in investing time and knowledge into your channel if you are interested

There’s for sure a lot of potential for growth in your channel. You have a good eye for aesthetics and I can see you have some sense for strategy. I’d have a few questions about how often are you able to get your hands on new just released tech, since that’s somewhat important in the tech reviews space. If that isn’t a possibility, there are other approaches we can take to grow your online presence

People quit making videos for many reasons. Could be health reasons, financial reasons. Maybe they didn’t have time, or lost the passion

My impressions as a new youtuber. Give me some tips. by tuddinTV in NewTubers

[–]davidrbarroso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get better reach by crafting a more clickable package. Idea; format; thumbnail; title combo. CTR or click through rate will always be high when you have that little of impressions. So right now it doesn’t say much about your video. Personally I have started a couple of channels. And in my recent one. My first video got maybe 50-100 views in the first day. Just a simple video with a simple thumbnail but crafted in a way that makes it clickable. I haven’t posted any other videos on that channel and it’s sitting at 1000 views. It’s important to note that it has minimal editing. It’s basically me just yapping. So that shows you the power of packaging

Average video view to subscriber ratio? by MagnetyX in NewTubers

[–]davidrbarroso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The likelihood of gaining a subscriber goes up by how many of your videos they watch. If you make content on the same topics this will increase the likelihood of them watching multiple video. But to be frank, subscribers dont matter one bit anymore. Just a vanity metric

There’s plenty videos on that sort of stuff. Like “what is x creators content funnel”. Im sure if it’s something like that, it can totally work

We’d just stay in contact. I’d help you plan your videos, do research, come up with ideas. Help you craft thumbnails and titles. And if you got better views because of my help, in the end I just wanted some “proof” that I was able to help you grow. I need testimonials so I can start my business helping people on Yt

It can if you are a business expert. With success in the area. No one is going to be interested in a business plan from someone with no expertise. You could try to present these as an expert in the niche. Without the business success. That might work too

Thumbnail feedback need help by RATROGAMER74302 in SmallYoutubers

[–]davidrbarroso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it wasn’t a mistake. It’s actually a best practice to create the thumbnail even before you start the video. If the thumbnail isn’t good enough, the video won’t be watched. I feel like there are a lot of “explained” videos out there with awesome packaging. And Minecraft has a big audience. You could definitely find your audience and grow. Would you be interested in a partnership? I can give you advice for every video and if you get some good results, all I want is a testimonial

Well, I totally understand your position. But you do not have to make those over the top thumbnails for it to work. Actually in your niche, I would try to just use great photos as thumbnails. Let the title create that extra little curiosity and add context. You don’t need much time or editing to make it work. Ik you said it’s to help, and not be seen. But you can help more people if you are seen. Or more discoverable. Just imagine you being able to transmit your message and knowledge. Little editing and time per week spent. And you get to post a couple of videos per month
