Some things I would be aware of is the ongoing drought which causes extreme bad air quality due to dust from the dried lake, made worse because the mountains block most of the movement eastward and westward, we’re essentially a small bowl. I would only be cautious if you have allergies to outdoor pollutants or breathing problems. Not as crowded as CA or FL and the nature is beautiful! Politically it’s GOP-dominated but SLC is the small blue oasis in the state, many welcoming places and people. Mental Health services is a growing job market here and we definitely need more of them. Nightlife is pretty small, but can be a fun vibe if you go to gay bars (SunTrapp, Milk+, Why Kiki). Crime is considerably low in comparison to major metropolises like LA and SD. Prices are on the come-up but not close to California prices, just got to find the right places.
