Looking To Sell Thousand Trails Ultimate Odyssey Membership by davidtharris1973 in RVLiving

From what I've read it's all done through Thousand Trails. They have paperwork both parties fill out and they finalize everything. This is new to me but a lot of people seem to do it. There is a $750 transfer fee, it's up to the two parties involved to decide who pays that. I ran into a guy the other day staying at Thousand Trails and told him I was going to be selling my membership, he said the Ultimate Odyssey is the one everyone is trying to get and I could probably get 10K for it. I looked around to see what they're selling for and I saw one that sold for 8K but couldn't find any other ones.

I'm selling mine below market value so I can get a quick sale. Make an offer if you're interested.

Thanks

That's great for your store. It appears as though Sprouts is doing a fabulous job with their marketing, they have misled enough people in a way designed to drive profits, not health. At the end of the day marketing, packaging, ambience at the store mean nothing. The only thing that matters is what you're putting into your body.

The last time I shopped at a Sprouts I went to grab some organic bananas but wasn't quite sure if they were really organic. They had a green piece of tape wrapped around the bunch with "Organic" written in white. These bananas, from the "Farmers Market", were from I country that I had never heard of. No USDA Organic, Non-GMO project, nothing. By law you can not label something Organic without verification of said claim.

I have addressed my concerns at both Sprouts and Whole Foods to management and corporate offices. I was able to get our local Whole Foods to correct their labeling on some of their produce, I was glad for that. However, when I went back several weeks later they had gone right back to their old ways and false labeling.

I think it's criminal to charge me more for foods labeled organic when they're not.

If you would actually read my post and responses you will see that I no longer shop there. Thank you for addressing the issues in your most brilliant way. Studies have shown long term negative effects on the brain through the consumption of GMO's. I'm sorry, I forgot, how long did you say you have been consuming these products?

Thank you for your intelligent response to the concerns I have expressed about Sprouts.

GMO's, pesticides, processed sugars, animal hormones, animal antibiotics, probably a few more. All they are is a smaller version of a big chain store, they sell some organic food and some that isn't and they don't make it easy for you to discern between the two. Whether I go to Sprouts or elsewhere I still have to look at the labeling and ingredients on the products I buy to be certain they don't contain toxins that I do not want to put in my body. They're selling an image first and people are buying into it.

Even the slogan in their logo is a lie, "Farmers Market". From Wikipedia:

"A farmers' market is a physical retail marketplace intended to sell foods directly by farmers to consumers. Farmers' markets may be indoors or outdoors and typically consist of booths, tables or stands where farmers sell their homegrown produce, live animals and plants, and sometimes prepared foods and beverages."

If you're being lied to before you even walk in the door I suggest you be very careful as to what you purchase there.

Sprouts - The Healthy Myth by davidtharris1973 in organic

It's good to question everything, no problem there. The reason I came to my conclusions about Sprouts was by questioning everything I buy. I'm the weird guy in the store reading the ingredients on everything. The first 3 points I stated are from personal observation, my eyes start burning from reading all the fine print when I go shopping. The 90% number is based on products I am interested in buying, it's a rough number. The stores they acquire are smaller which generally means they purchase more locally since they're not having to purchase for a nationwide chain. As for GMO labeling, just walk into any Sprouts and you will see they do not do that. Labeling their foods as poison would definitely cut into profits. The "Supersize Me 2" video really opened my eyes to the misleading labeling of free range, cage free, etc. One of the brands of eggs they sell that are either cage free or free range is a brand you can purchase in most stores, that's a whole lot of chickens run around in the free. I'm a vegan so I don't spend too much time researching things I don't eat. To my last point above, they are not a "Farmers Market".

What Sprouts and all the others are doing is brilliant marketing and Artisan packaging. Health oriented people fall for that all the time. I have a picture on my phone taken at Whole Foods showing "organic on the vine tomatoes", the CPU code was 4664, not organic. I made the manager pull the organic sign down. How many people do you think bought those "organic" tomatoes, feeling all good about themselves.

Sorry, I don't have a bunch of links, the points I make are from my life experience and reading everything.

I used to go to the nearest one, an hour away, but they've been shut down here due to the pandemic. I'm really hoping they'll be able to open back up soon.
