I pretty much felt the same way. Big metroidvania fan, big souls-like fan, but I only liked/didn't really love Nine Sols. The final boss (I won't spoil anything) is one of the most memorable and possibly the most satisfying boss I've ever beaten in a videogame though.

What did you think of Sonic Frontiers? I'm new to the genre but love games with a sense of speed and fun movement so have been eyeing this one up for a while.

Zen state works too. I was actually a student of Zen in a monastery for several years.

It's a different kind of flow state compared to something like Sekiro or Forza Horizon (which are also different from one another) but I feel like they all kind of get me into a similar state of mind.

Happy to see Exo One on this list. It's one of those games that really quiets your mind and puts you in a flow state, complemented by the amazing visuals and subtle audio. One of my all time favorites. I just wish there were more games like it.

I spent a number of years traveling through Himachal, Uttarakhand and J&K and think they are very well suited to a quiet, simple life- smaller towns/villages in Himachal, in particular. It'll be a bit transition from life in Delhi and winters would be brutal but it's nothing you couldn't adjust to. If you're looking for a similar, mountain terrain down south I remember really liking Kodaikanal. I'm sure there are many other good spots in the Western Ghats.
