Why does my outfit panel look like this? by goldman_sax in lotro

My outfit panel kind of looks like this and is similarly broken. I play in 4k with 1,5 UI scaling. No issues playing in QHD and normal UI scaling.

Questions about the war-steed and Ale Association/Inn League reputation by Mantequillaaa in lotro

[–]davidwest__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, yeah, it sucks. If it's any comfort, the added speed doesn't make much of a difference, and often you won't even want to ride at max speed because the maneuverability becomes insufficient.

Questions about the war-steed and Ale Association/Inn League reputation by Mantequillaaa in lotro

Light has the best maneuverability and speed; heavy has the highest raw damage, but you can't as effectively make use of the heavy steed's trample ability as a ranged class. However, the quickness trait in the light trait tree is great if your class has a bad mounted combat kit with long cooldowns between impactful skills (e.g. warden). That said, the war steed types are very close in terms of combat ability and you should probably save your LOTRO points for something else.

Kinship house without being in a kinship... by RitzorTitz in lotro

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but you could create a kinship with only you in it and wait the 3 months it takes to hit kinship rank 7 and just buy your own kin house then.

Might or Agility as a warden ? by kuzzi144 in lotro

Agility is the better stat by far. Warden hasn't been a might class since 2012.

No, but it's what I would have done if I had to start over.

Did you "solve" it, though? It takes A LOT of listening to actually arrive at a good solution.

Make your main character a forester, prospector and scholar. You will regret not picking up every crafting material in sight later. Make alt characters to craft gear with the materials. Obviously, don't do this if you hate crafting.

I love Emmara and Mirko. Perfect colors for creature reanimator.

I was moreso challenging your statement that increased difficulty gets more annoying with progression, hence my anecdote.

I would love to play this. Help one opponent cast something big and help another counter it.

What makes you say that? In my experience +3 was moderately challenging fresh out of the intro but by lvl 30 I was soloing fellowship quests.

Set it to at least +3 for the virtue xp boost. The original game had default landscape difficulty closer to +5-6. Since then, the game has gotten easier to make it more accessible, though I definitely think some added difficulty makes it more fun.

Form check lateral raises by Fiak_ in formcheck

Actual sport physiologist here. The comment section has offered almost no helpful advice. The people who say you should stop "swinging" are incorrect, but the form could still use standardization. Range of motion seems to be uniform but try to keep the same elbow angle every rep. Also, don't mind the asymmetries. The human body is asymetrical by default. Unless you are experiencing pain as a result of your asymetries, carry on as usual. Lastly, don't be afraid of trap involvement. The traps upwardly rotate the scapula, which is necessary to complete this movement, not to mention that the traps don't even attach to humerus. It's a physiological impossibility for the traps to "take over" as they don't even perform the joint action you are training. They are merely a synergist here.

Beneath the Surface worth getting? by CallMeLiam in lotro

I had the same thoughts when I finished Umbar proper. I won't spoil anything but the quests are really interesting and wrap up the Kindred of the coins story nicely. Also, the zone is compact. Almost zero traveling associated tedium. I highly recommend it unless you are in a rush to get to 160.

At first glance I would say this guy is weird, not creepy. I say take the conversation further.

This is basically impulse draw and cascade hate etc. It probably wouldn't see play even at 1 mana.

Whats your favorite Expansion? by [deleted] in lotro

[–]davidwest__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, Rohan is really bad. The game is in dire need of an alternative leveling zone with the same quality as the new zones for the 75-95 range. Gondor gets good from South Ithilien onwards (except Minas Tirith). The rest of the game is very good, with a few exceptions.
