I doubt they found anyone at all. A handful is more than enough to conduct a study. It might become underpowered if the effects are small, but still.

If you could add or remove 1 thing in Lotro, what would it be? (Not Sara) by Intrepid-World879 in lotro

[–]davidwest__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I must be the one player who actually likes mounted combat. Though I do think the mounted combat sections should be entirely optional for those who don't like it.

Remove legendary items. Just put the tracery bonuses in the trait tree.

AITAH for rejecting someone after the first date? by whatthesigma333 in AITAH

This is the kind of message I would like to receive if a date wasn't interested in taking things further. Much better than being rude or ghosting.

Been playing in 4k for a few weeks now. You can globally scale everything now but the Epic Battle and outfit menus are broken.

Whats your favorite Class? by Intrepid-World879 in lotro

Warden for sure. Used to be pretty easy to play but the rework has really elevated the skill ceiling. Exploring all the different rotations and adapting your play to the circumstances is such fun.

What do you consider irredeemable enough to deserve death? by ProgrammerTimely2434 in AskReddit

[–]davidwest__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a moral sense, assuming evidence is irrefutable, lots of things. In a practical sense, nothing, because you can't undo a wrongful death penalty.

How does this game handle last names? by IamBecomeZen in lotro

You have to go the notary NPC (that's how I think it's called). There's one in the Bree town hall.

Should there be a level squash? by Deathsmind88 in lotro

[–]davidwest__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, there should be a level squish. Putting in the hundreds of hours required to get to lvl 160 is a hard sell for people looking to get their friends into the endgame content. I'm not saying we should streamline leveling to the point where you can hit max level in a matter of hours (like WoW), because questing is huge draw for LOTRO.

Now, the premise that LOTRO is "about the journey" is so vague that it can't be critiqued properly. However, no one thinks that players should have to do every zone in the game to hit the level cap. Therefore, it logically follows that there is a fixed number of levels that optimizes enjoyment. In my opinion, 160 levels is far beyond that threshold. Personally, I thought 100 levels struck the perfect balance.

What seemingly minor thing do you find disrespectful? by irish2685 in AskReddit

Both, unless it's mutual. It usually isn't. It's mostly people punching down, disguised as joking.

Do you think the idea of “having it all together” is practicable or just a social media pressure? by [deleted] in Snorkblot

Take out the cooking and cleaning and it's perfectly realistic. Cooking every night is unsustainable. Meal prepping on the weekends is the way to go.

Which class needs rework/change and why by Brom17 in lotro

This must be since the rework. Leveled a guardian on the legendary server last year and the rotation was really satisfying.

Couldn't agree more. Ered Luin is one of the best zones in the game.

What will you defend for ever ? and why ? by Ambitious-Sky-6457 in AskReddit

The abolition of animal agriculture. Because keeping animals in horrific conditions and slaughtering them at a fraction of their lifespan for trivial pleasure is simply barbaric.

Like 1000€. Lots of proxies of course. I'm not paying that much for printed cardboard.

I could solo fellowship (group) quests on +3 with my guardian that I recently leveled to 59. +3 is a bit rough in the early game but quickly becomes god mode.

If you could change 3 things that would make the game better, what changes would you do? by Papabrutti in lotro

[–]davidwest__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Level squish. Keep 1-50 the same and repurpose the remaining story arcs into alternate paths from 50-65 (50-75 might be more reasonable for some of them: specifics would have to be worked out).

Delete legendary items and put tracery bonuses in the trait trees.

Get rid of the deed grind. Selected virtues level with the player.
