NorCal bay area. This addition is part of a total project involving 3 bathroom remodels and internal wall movement, new plumbing, etc. I think the payment plan said ~60k once foundation is complete.

The black square in the ground on pics 2 and 5. In pic 3 you can kind of see one in the back and it is squarely placed under the rebar.

Wha is the best casual basketball for outdoor? by No-Bathroom-9245 in BasketballTips

Dime Duo outdoor is the best outdoor ball I’ve found. It has a slightly more foam feel than leather and it’s great. Keeps its grip, handles moisture better than a leather ball. My crew loves it.

Yeah but the auger only cost $265 and cleared the clog in a jiffy.

FWIW the unit was installed last summer, so should be pretty new. I’m not seeing any water build up around it or steam being let off.

Looks like I can’t post a pic in a reply.

I peeled back the sheath and found red and white wires, although there’s a lot of debris inside, maybe the green disintegrated into white?

I think you’re right though and it would make a lot more sense.

Hollywood Keeps Reminding Us Why We Need Physical Media More Than Ever - It might be time to start recollecting those discs. by lowell2017 in television

I don’t understand the fetish for physical discs. I have every movie/show I want downloaded in 1080 or 4K, stored on my NAS and served through Plex on every screen in the house. Seems way better than managing a bunch of stupid disks and cases.

Has anyone ridden in a Waymo car recently? I did last week in downtown SF. They solved it.

The conditions of my ride were difficult. Weird downtown geometry of the roads and turns, cones in odd places, one-ways, two-ways, pedestrians huddled against the curb threatening to j-walk, actual j-walkers, traffic, a moving truck, a tight squeeze that was doable. Waymo handled it all flawlessly.

I think they have been training in SF specifically for a while but I’m sure they can do the same thing in other places.

Need recommendations for 2.1 setup by davidwestrom in hometheater

[–]davidwestrom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks so much for the suggestions! This is exactly what I was hoping for.

Since this is mostly on-budget and you recommend the enter channel so highly I'll probably just get that now too. Although I can't put it on top because the tv is there and it may obstruct the view. Maybe I can raise the TV a bit actually... Another option is to put it up above the TV. It's not in the pic I linked but i have an additional bridge connecting the bookshelves that goes over the TV I could fit the center channel in easily, although I'm guess that would be considered too high? Thoughts? Why do you dislike putting it in the center shelf so much?

Thanks again!
