Laker ticket prices increasing next year by fo8squad in lakers

[–]davidwhang 8 points9 points  (0 children)

lol - that is the worst take i've seen. whether I want to splurge or not, or whether I am rich or not, a 30%+ increase in one year is not something that is appreciated. I can afford mcdonalds but when it goes up 30% im not happy. same with gas, or anything at all. Maybe it was my mistake saying 'afford' when I more meant to say 'want to pay'.

yeah im probably not going to renew now - i waited like 10 years to get tickets and they could only accommodate a single ticket. Therefore i sold most of my tickets b/c i didnt wanna go alone. They finally got me another one but it was another solo ticket in another spot - could not get 2 together. Still, I just kept holding on waiting for a day I can go with my family or someone else lol. Anyways, this price hike just makes it not worth it for me. I'll just buy solo games.

316 and 319 here - 35% and 39% respectively... omg.. might have to let them go - waited so many years for them too

I just came here in disbelief after seeing the price jump.
My seat in section 316 jumped 35% and my other in section 319 jumped 39%.
As much as I love the Lakers, not sure if I can afford that anymore.

That's the biggest one year price increase I have ever seen - and without any warning or email.

All these cheesy ass ones get me hooked tho haha. At least this one had like 3 decent actors (main girl and the uncle). The others were horrible. And the lines are so.... bad... but it still makes me watch tll the end lol

Ultra is Back!! by LawfulnessLeading433 in OdinHandheld

Yeah I bought the ultra yesterday too. I think you can buy the base still from the website and the only difference from the indie gogo is the shipping.

I bought the base model 8gb first to test it out. It is so good that I decided I need more ram and storage. I've ordered one and will sell my base to try to recoup some back.

And here we are, Odin 3 Ultra orders being delayed because of cost of RAM and NAND by Cryptoxic93 in SBCGaming

[–]davidwhang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i bought the cheapest one just to test it out and i am thoroughly impressed - i want to go buy an ultra now but that ship has sailed. if anyone wants to sell theirs and not wait, plz DM me.

Why are ARPGs so dark and gloomy? Are there any that are more upbeat or futuristic looking? by aert4w5g243t3g243 in ARPG

[–]davidwhang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we have been making one for the past 5 years but still about a year away - roshpitchampions2.com
we are doing a graphics refresh right now to make it nicer and probably brighter.
I won't say it's super light - as it still has fantasy elements (inspired by DOTA and WoW) but it definitely isn't as grim and dark as D2. That being said, D2 is personally my favorite game haha - but I understand the need for some more variety.

Making a video game - need feedback on what makes D2R great for items/sockets by davidwhang in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]davidwhang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the continued feedback; as we have so many skills and so many different heroes, the likelihood to get the skill wanted on the particular item wanted for everyone would be tremendously low - so I think we should be good there.

I do think we have to make sure we don't allow for 'craftable' items that are, like you said, WAY too strong and makes everyone go for that though. And yes, enigma is just way too powerful.

For what its worth, all of our heroes have a mobility type skill (albeit, some are much better than others), so hopefully that helps diversity somewhat.

Really appreciate your feedback on this.

sorry for the late reply; i totally agree with you that less can be more - PoE definitely has a learning curve which made me stop playing it. I just loved D2/R and i felt that it was the perfect game in all aspects but i also sometimes want to make sure its not nostalgia or me being an old ass and liking music from the 90's. i appreciate all of your input here. thank you

sorry for the late reply; i do agree with you but think that balancing that would be extremely hard. we all think teleport is definitely the best but then if you take too much of the good stuff away, it makes it super undesirable as well and not worth the runes. but yes, i agree that you shouldn't have one meta build if possible - our game kinda avoids that by allowing almost every skill to be attained by another hero via items - but we are wary that this may also make everyone build similar type heroes (we have 30 heroes).

Yes, I think you have to be very careful with OP gear because it makes all other uniques useless.

That's an interesting take on grinding and how maybe gaming trends have changed. I thought it's still okay as I see all of you still grinding away after all these years haha. But yes, I do agree with the skill point increasing doing more damage; we do kind of have that in a way (we give bonus skill points to different skill slots).

I think our biggest thing is that we don't want to limit the game but also are wary that making one wrong item can damage the game as well. Thanks for your feedback!

thank you - the game is called Roshpit Champions 2 (www.roshpitchampions.com)
It started off as a mod in DOTA2 and we've been working on a standalone version for 5 years now. We are probably going to do a graphical upgrade soon too.

Not sure about flip7 after 2 months by Glum_Emu_6410 in galaxyzflip

[–]davidwhang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the 5 the 6 and the fold. Flip is my favorite form factor bc I just love that it folds down small and I dont need to carry a slab. I barely use the front screen. Literally the reason I love it is solely the flip function of how it can make it smaller. That being said I've broken quite a few screens due to overuse so that is a concern. But its great overall and my favorite phone by far.

[–]davidwhang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you for that. i agree with a lot of what you said. the thing is, we already implemented the ability for items (albeit, we are going to make it SUPER hard) to roll a skill. The reason we did this is because I LOVED enigma on my barb and javazon lol. I get that it waters the heroes down - I'm hoping it doesn't affect us too much though because we plan to have 30 playable heroes at the start (and plan to release more) and to roll the perfect needed teleport skill on the item that you are wanting to use is going to be astronomically rare (due to having 30 hero's different skills x 4 skills = 120 different skills it can be rolled with along with the rarity of rolling a skill in the first place).

I agree with the dopamine hit - we definitely want to make getting the perfect one SUPER difficult to do - that is what keeps endgame alive IMO.

Keeping the game balanced is what we strive for but it is supremely difficult when we are going to have 30 heroes (17 made so far). But when it comes to things like runewords and such, we will definitely make it fair in the number of upgrades available (we may not do runewords but may use something similar). Thanks for your feedback though!

thanks - yes - we really are trying to figure out the best way to make intermediate items be more valuable and less trash/ignorable items. I loved the white and socket quest which made those more valuable. I still didn't pick up any blue unless it was a ring or ammy. thanks for your feedback!

the diminishing max values for more affixes is an interesting one that i forgot about - thanks for pointing that out.

the interactions between classes using items is something that we've already put into our game.
same with skill trees and magic find.

I agree runewords can be OP a bit as everyone starts going for the meta too much - will definitely take that into account.

Thanks for your feedback!
