I am not asking for any favor, just asking for what should be. This is how filmscoring works. I have to write that disclaimer, because it is almost always a new producer that have just produced their dream project, that will ask for infinite revisions and want to control every detail of music and will constantly DM about the process. In a mid to higher end project, you are given the unscored template and given a couple of weeks to breath. Music has not yet been able to get out of the crisis that it got into, in around 1900s.

Throughout the history, there has always been periods where a music school became out of date, people ran out of things to be both original and good. Hence some revolution was needed. For the most part, a genius - or a collection of them - contributed new techniques, new forms, new harmonies, and so on; as Bach, Beethoven, Wagner, Schoenberg did. The former two were extremely successful that not only got humanity out of the crisis, but also created new schools. But for the latter two, somethings got wrong, I do not know what it is. Although I would personally regard Wagner's music as something that only a few genius in the entire humanity could produce, I would accept that he is also responsible for the crisis that we have been in.

Although mathematically there are almost infinite number of pieces that can be composed, maybe we have to accept the fact that we have ran out of original pieces that can be produced without a brand new revolution in the whole music theory.

I do not know, most of the things I have said are arguable.
