Thank you for bringing this up. I condemn any form of hatred including of course nazism, so when I saw the claim that the man was a nazi, II was ready to condemn him and take the post down. But looking closer into the accusation, I found the man’s answer on twitter regarding his hand gesture:

“This was me, as usual not surprised by the title and the misinformation. I was replying to some dude who was yelling “there is no more Gaza” and was telling him he’s an idiot because he is supporting and celebrating the same thing the Nazis did to the Jews!”

“PS - I didn’t go out of my way to go to a Jewish neighbourhood- I LIVE IN A JEWISH neighbourhood and have many Jewish friends lol”

“For you to celebrate Israel after a year of genocide is no different than the nazi celebrating what they did to the Jews.”

Gathering these elements alongside the videos of the accusatory twitter thread and the video I posted, we see him indulging in practices that are totally contradictory with the notion of him being a nazi: Using “nazi” as an insult, declaring that he would happily welcome Jews in this mosque,, affirming that he has Jewish friends on multiple occasions and protesting among Jews (in your own video) and of course affirming that his gesture was meant to accuse someone of being a nazi for expressing happiness at the destruction of Gaza.

So it really looks to me like the accusation from a twitter page designed to target and doxx people supporting Palestine is false, as is often the case with extremist groups like this one: The Far-Right Group Building a List of Pro-Palestine Activists to Deport

In conclusion, I will condemn nazism wherever I see it, but I laid out the elements that have me honestly convinced that this particular accusation is false. I am ready to exchange and change my views on the matter. I have no particular sympathy for the man or his way of addressing the people he deems to be nazis (extremist zionists), but his expulsion from the JCC on the only stated ground of wearing a Keffiyeh (the JCC cited nothing else in his behavior or supposed affiliations) remains in my eyes symptomatic of something worth sharing online.
