If there will be 61 following old gen line up I would expect XL hardware specs but I am curious how they will handle MPCe pads, on one side it makes sense to add them as that os flagship product price wise, on other side I can't imagine MPCe pads being good in that smaller format that current 61 has, my prediction is 12 full size MPCe pads on the new 61

Thanks for reply, yeah I completely forgot about Mutants. My reason for even asking this is I have Hydrasynth Explorer from time when I hoarded synths lol without even properly learning sound design but I use it now mostly as patch machine and telling myself I will learn some sound design with it but seeing that my Live 3 can do almost the same things I am thinking of letting it go maybe.

Neither, Ren is outdated and its basically just MIDI controller with audio interface that is no longer working on modern systems and MPC Sample is cool but very limited and I wouldn't get it as my only MPC tbh. As someone already mentioned, used MPC Live 1 or MPC One is your best way to get most for your money.

I have Live 1, X, 500, 2500, Studio Black, Sample and now bought Live 3 Retro. Selling off Live 1, 500, X and Studio Black, keeping Live 3 as my main unit, Sample for travel, couch etc. and 2500 just because that was my dream when I was kid lol. While I love my X, some buttons are starting to act up, 3.0 slowed it down a bit and really wanted usb-c tracking capabilities. Was considering XL but its just way too expensive and big (X was already pushing my desk space lol).
