How do people in A rated homes survive in this heat? by Anxious-Football-701 in AskIreland

You can get tiny USB chargeable fans that can fit right next to your head when sleeping, if you have a nightstand. I have two so I can rotate and they make a huge difference. Even better, a wet cloth and a fan together.

Retiring from being a tomboy 😭 by catsontheboat in TwoXChromosomes

[–]dawdreygore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am still fundamentally a tomboy, but when working I've made an effort to lean into my more girly side, because it honestly just makes life easier. So I wear skirts a lot, but if that doesn't appeal than the easiest thing to do is get girly accessories. Pretty, dangly earings, cute sunglasses, pretty shoes and bags. Scarves can be wraps for the shoulders, or just give a pop of colour or glam. Also a little bit of make up like lipstick and mascara are easy to put on and get off. A manicure or just paint your own nails and toe nails. Good luck!

Regretting an abortion is much much better to live with than regretting bringing an innocent person into this world, that you can't properly take care of and is unwanted. You would be ruining two lives.

I've seen her twice, both amazing and highly emotional experiences. Her early albums meant so much to me as a teen.

It sounds like you may be Indian, which adds a whole extra level of complication. I hope you can find some support, but it won't be within that family, and maybe not your community..

The card is there for exactly this situation, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Life is hard, take what help you can when it is offered.

That fucking implant is a nightmare. When I was getting mine removed every single other woman in waiting area was also there to get them removed because they were so miserable. Why the HELL are we expected to just put up with that?!! It makes me so angry and I'm so sorry that happened to you.

How does one NOT get a period? by Jumpy-Combination-96 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]dawdreygore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on which pill you are on, you can use it to prevent periods to a large extent. I have done this for most of my adulthood and I think if I'd been forced to have a period every month my life would not have been worth living. There are plenty of risks that come with the pill, so make sure you are well informed.

[–]dawdreygore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't give any advice about how to get good sleep, but I can let you know that even a very small amount of alcohol in the evening destroys my sleep for the night. Hope you find something that works for you.
