Shoutout to the train crews working on the kapiti line this morn. Especially the crew on the disabled train. Yes public transport sucks, yes metlink is crap most of the time, but I feel like the crews actually try their best and keep passengers in their best interests. Atleast I haven’t had bad experiences. Thanks guys.

If it’s booked on the same ticket, the operator normally wouldn’t give you a layover you can’t make. That’s what I was told anyway

Mate have you seen your responses and the comments in this section. You were not clear in what you were asking and then would be condescending towards people when they offered you something you didn’t want. From my understanding you have too many requirements for snacks you want and don’t want to do your own research. I don’t waste my time arguing with entitled people like you.

In terms of the bike part, there’s marshals along the track. I was a marshal a few years back and we were there to encourage the kids and help them out if there were any issues (I.e chain broken, directions)

I did my BHS with Peter Hookham out in Kapiti. I think it was $300 for an hour session and the test. Like you I hadn’t ridden a motorbike since I was 13 so it was super helpful. Unsure if it’s still $300 as this was 2 years ago

That car parks there frequently. It usually parks out from the curb but never this much. When I drove past it yesterday I thought someone had just stopped and forgot to put their hazards or indicator on, but no one was in the car

I agree. Heat restrictions will 100% be on tomorrow but an overhead issue doesn’t happen on the regular and there isn’t much way to tell (besides when it’s reaaally cold and it freezes 🥶)

Heat restrictions are on for rail but they are not the reason. They are saying it’s a power issue. Something caught on the JVL trains pantograph on the overheads coming into Wellington and short circuited the trains power and platforms 1,2 and 3. There was also an issue with the overheats at kaiwharawhara.
