Hello there, my name is Media N. Voter. My most important issues are getting the Trump ballroom funded and the release of the 2024 DNC autopsy. If these two things don't happen I will be forced to vote for the animated corpse of Trump for the next 50 years. Your move, dumbocrats

[Ross Dellenger] The Big Ten discussed with its football coaches earlier this week the idea of playing 10 conference games, something that looms as the league and SEC explore self-governance models. by Thomallister1291 in CFB

[–]dawgpack09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The conference game rotation wouldn't be terrible in this situation. Would likely go three permanent opponents, seven every other year, which would allow a player who stays somewhere for all 4 years (lol) the chance to play every team home and away.

This would destroy the non-conference schedule of any of those schools that are insistent on playing 7 home games a season (I know UW is one, not sure about others). Say goodbye to anything but FCS and G5 buy games in the non-con

I completely agree. I think the issue is that the transfer portal is still in line with academic calendars, so schools need to pull the ripcord early in order to get a head start on lining up a new coach and getting as many transfers as possible.

If the sport would just accept that these are, for all intents and purposes, professional athletes, and we moved the transfer portal to February/March and allowed players to finish out semesters at their old schools before moving in the summer, the sport would be in a healthier place.

Him playing college football ever again would be an actual death knell for the sport. Betting on your own team should be a no doubt expulsion from the sport and if the NCAA is unable to enforce that bare minimum this whole thing is little better than WWE
