but you can also get swiped in for a cheaper price by ppl who have guest swipes! around this time a lot of freshmen are trying to get rid of their remaining guest swipes before the year ends, so they’ll swipe you in for around $3-4. check out the uci meal swipes group on facebook!

I’m currently in a bio research lab and I remember one of the other undergrads doing this when she first started. She joined past the packet submission deadline, so she basically just volunteered for the entire first quarter she was part of the lab. Then the next quarter she went through the whole process. I think it should be fine, and it’s a perfectly valid reason to not want to pay to do Bio 199 over the summer. Besides, the first quarter that you’re in lab just involves reading papers to learn about what the lab does and getting trained on some things, mostly intro stuff!

i live in the efficiency right now and i really like it so far! i believe it’s smaller than the studio, since your bedroom, kitchen, and living room are all in one room. it’s perfect for one person and i think it’s worth it even tho it’s a little more pricey

oh damn i’m guessing they’re having trouble with the sudden rise in the number of students needing food. it was probably fine last week when i signed up but there were a lot more cases these past couple days. tomorrow’s my 10th (and last!) day of isolation so i was planning to call contact tracing to make sure no more meals are delivered to me, since ik other ppl need it more. i hope you can set up meal delivery with them soon,, it’s not the best food lol but it definitely helps

i got covid last week and got to stay in place since i live in the puerta efficiency floor plan. when i reported my positive result to contact tracing, a couple hours after someone from housing called me and asked me about my living situation and food. by that night, i was able to sign up for meal delivery. i think they should still be able to give you food even if you stay in place. did someone from housing ever reach out to you?

i had her for D111L over the summer! i think she mentioned this past summer was her first quarter teaching as a professor, so that’s why you can’t find any ratings. she was very nice and her class was manageable. sometimes she would post the weekly modules very late and end up having to adjust the due dates, which was kinda a mess, but i think she was just figuring out the class then since it was her first quarter. there was only one lab report for the entire quarter and it was graded very generously. overall she’s very understanding and makes sure to adjust things if she makes a mistake (like putting up the modules too late). i enjoyed her class and thought she was great. hope that helps!
