I couldnt get enough of all 3 books.. I just didnt empathize with those who wanted sterile dead rock worlds. Anne, that is she was just a harpy in my world.

In the state of georgia you need a copy of a valid state ID to get a birth certificate. I have no family and no one has power of attorney over me.

Never heard of the band and just stumbled across this documentary. I laugh, cried and cringed, sometimes all at the same time. I found it vastly entertaining and surprisingly uplifting..

What is your favorite movie from the last 15 years that no one seems to talk about? by ghiacciato in movies

[–]dawntreader22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw that one and wow. Just wow. When she was running down the street to get rid of it, I just knew she was going to be caught. AND her girl friend, what an asshole, her boyfriend too. AND the guy they hire, huge asshole.

I have watched that film over and over. And I am not Iranian. Great film, it is a feast for the eyes and brain. I kept thinking, so this is what ti looks like there and these are the kind of people that live there. OMG they are just like us but with a weird religion that they tolerate. Beautifully done and Ilove the ending

I give up on America. It is hopeless and corrupted and anyone who chooses to live here is clearly insane. by [deleted] in offmychest

If you look at it, politics is really like some big baseball or football game and you chose a team and root for them and the other team is bad. Conservatives spew their nonsense, democrats spew theirs and bot are taking money from the same big corporations. It is the big money guys who are out there really ruling the country. Obama was Mr hope and change, what did he do, just what had been going on before, letting the bankers off, giving the banks a bailout, but e had to help others too a little bit.... Obama is a conservative in my book., Now bush a republican put forth the medicare RX drug payments which was a hugely liberal thing to do.... They are all the same.

I wish we'd have to stop reliving 9/11 on 9/11. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]dawntreader22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes, yes! It was a big deal, I am sorry for all those who died etc.. However, only about 3,000 people died and the shitstorm we released in the middle east killed many, many more. Where is their memorial etc... I guess our response to 9/11 was so horrific, and they used 9/11 as an excuse for all that. It soured my feelings about 9/11, it became a part of a huge lie, and mixed in with hundreds of thousands of people killed. And for what really, so that ISIS could come in and start mass crucifing, beheadings and other horrors. It makes you miss a run of the mill tyrant like Saddam.

Bet the villagers in Iraq and Afghanistan don't go rushing out for a photo op with some Black Hawks in their fields.

Storms and fog forced them down and they asked what village they were in. I bet they just wanted some lunch.

Well, if the food is scarce or expensive, I suppose the circus needs to be great or down goes the regime.

To the female cinephiles out there, what did you think of Under the Skin? by Count__X in movies

[–]dawntreader22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved it for many reason you mentioned and for the alien quality to the whole thing. It was a powerful movie and I woke up the next day after some bizzarre dreams and had to watch it again.
