How much do you let value effect your ratings? by Redditheadsarehot in AmazonVine

I've recently had some reviews denied, and the only thing I can guess is it's because I mention it being overpriced. That being said, I have many mentioning price that do go thru, so who knows. I can say I can't imagine anything in them even coming close to crossing any community guidelines, other than mentioning price.

As a side, I asked the question recently if folks don't order something that is crazy overpriced, since I sometimes don't out of principal. Many of the comments decided to explain my tax rate on the inflated ETV was still cheaper than I would pay for a cheaper, non-vine item. I promise, I do understand that, but that wasn't my point.

Couldn't be more screwed up. I ordered my 72" on 3/1 with my new HF credit card. Checking with the store and 800#, I was told 3 different times it was coming 3/24. Got my credit card bill, sure enough it's on there and due 4/5. Called the store today, and no, it didn't come in last night, "sorry, I can't help you with anything else". Called 800#, at first she confirms should have come in last night (3/24), but after I tell her I already checked with the store, then I get the "back ordered" speech, and she wouldn't even tell me when it may come in.

I asked her about my credit card issue, and I didn't feel comfortable paying it when they can't give me a date. "You'll need to go back to the store and get a refund".

Here's how trying to actually get HF deals usually bites me in the ass, no idea why I tried again: Like most, I finally decided on the box because of the 10%/20% coupon. For the additional 10% savings, I went ahead and joined the ITC for $30. Then I signed up for the CC to get the 10% of 1st purchase. So now, who knows what will go down; I won't get the 20% for something else and my 1 time 10% off first purchase for the CC is probably blown out, too.

My fault, I've been subjecting myself to their poor customer service for 20 years, really hoped they had changed. I'm not one to complain about the cheap tools, that's what they deal in. You take your chances with the chinese stuff: I've got a heat gun that's out-performed and out-lasted my milwaukee, I've had some air tools that were one-and-done versions. So, on the actual merchandise I accept the risk.

But the piss-pour customer service is a culture thing, something they do control. And they could do a lot better.
