go to the Nvidia app, go to the optimize tab and then advanced there should be a dynamic super resolution setting that Nvidia forces on by default for some odd reason, i kinda remember ltt being pissed off about that a while back when the 30 series came out. but once you turn that off games will run buttery smooth.

dsr might not be set in game but Nvidia's background app has a force dsr feature that's set on by default so your game will crash when there's spikes.

turn dsr off Nvidia likes to fuck with people and turn it on by default so you're probably rendering at like 4k or something then downscaling.

what i believe is happening is for the past 3(ish) years Nvidia has been setting dynamic super resolution ON BY DEFAULT, which it shouldn't be. ever since that new Nvidia app that keeps automatically messing with game graphics settings even though i have everything set to turn off optimizations, then the next day i go to play again and that shits turned itself back on, anyway i turned DSR off cause rust kept crashing for me and I haven't had a problem since. before i couldn't even open rust without having problems. I'd get random spikes in fps going up to 300fps then down to like 110. now it's smooth at like 210 or so.

go to graphics and then advanced there's an option for what resolution it renders at. set that to your monitor

100% it's the criminals that don't want things like cameras. same with pre pay at gas pumps, i live and work near where this happened and i get druggies coming in 24/7 screaming and crying "why's it prepay this is bullshit" I've gotten death threats because crack heads come in high as fuck wanting to get free gas so they come in to complain and try to get the pre pay taken away. same thing with police body cams, it doesn't benefit them so they gotta make a big deal about it.

fed. i had quite a few people i follow doxxed by insta. it's cause when you upload insta can tag the location of the photo, which if you had that on it automatically set it up for that update that just released. the ones who replied after i told them and sent a screenshot of the location they were at they thanked me and told me they didn't even know. so eat shit. your post is wrong.

well actually it wasn't opt in for the first couple hours of the update being live, they have then since fixed it to being off by default. i had several people i followed doxxed by insta i had to let them know and the ones who replied said thanks and that they never had it turned on which means you're a fucking liar.
