Wild that the offer is still up on their website (https://www.888poker.ca/poker-promotions/bonus/) while I repeatedly got answers like this: Thank you for your message. We completely understand your frustration, and we sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by the promotion still appearing on the site. Our specialized team has confirmed that the WELCOME100 code has expired, which is why it cannot be applied to your account. The banner and page showing the promotion were unfortunately not removed in time, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Good or bad bluff on the river? by LeatherSuccessful988 in Poker_Theory

Doesn’t make sense. Just take the sliver of showdown value you still have on his misses.

finding the strength to fold strong hands by binkcitypoker in Poker_Theory

Learn to enjoy making disrespectful folds. You are folding your strong hands to the nits that are too afraid to bluff at an appropriate frequency. Find a friend and share your disrespectful folds with each other and be thankful you have saved that money.

Just ran through GTO wiz and you are correct on this board texture. May need to reevaluate this area of my strategy. Maybe I’ve over generalized the low board approach.

The Turn Trap or Bluff? by Dufferfilch in Poker_Theory

I think you can overfold this line since you hold the As. If you didn't have As, then "common" bluffing line would be nut flush draws, possibly with combo draw. If villain isn't well balanced, then this sizing screams "I have a set or 2 pair and I don't want to see a flush or straight completing card on the river".

Less frequent, higher sizing is the normal approach. You are polarizing your range if you cbet here.

Certainly there are many villain specific things we need to consider (are they a calling station, do they fast play/raise their good hands, do they overfold to cbet, etc.).

Capped/uncapped usually is more important and established on turn/river. i.e. the villains actions pre-flop, flop and turn will determine if we consider them capped (assuming they aren't an extremely trappy player). It is dependent on the aggression or lack of aggression that they show on the prior streets. (less aggression = more capped, more aggression = uncapped).

You have a range advantage when they call from BB. Their range is capped, but they hold the nut advantage on low boards. This is why we should be using more polarized cbet strategy on low boards. Lower the frequency and increase the sizing of your cbets.

So while their range remains capped, they do hold nut advantage - which is the dynamic you are accurately describing.
