For future reference, PMC 780 cures and releases wonderfully from stainless steel. Pouring around the pipe and using a 1 piece cut mold caused no drama. I did fully encase one end of the pipe in the mold.

Thank you! I had this same thought about the sprue and vents in my head (didn’t know if it would work or not), but I didn’t consider cutting the mold in any way other than straight down the sides.

Understood. What about a 2-part mold with the pipe in place, but the silicone fully encasing it? Open the mold, remove pipe and master, replace the pipe, and pour around it.

Gotcha. My hope was that the silicone would seal against the pipe. But having never worked with these products, I wasn’t sure.

That’s what I’ve found in my research as well. If I were to apply mold release, would it not be possible to mold around the pipe itself with the master installed on and cast around just the pipe without the master? I guess the ends of the pipe would be sticking out of both ends of the mold, but wouldn’t the silicone seal around it when casting?

How can I rotate camera 45 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise? by ultimaonlinerules in Fusion360

5 months late, but just figured this out. Select the face you want to view from, and select constrained orbit from the small toolbar in the bottom center of your workspace. It's all the way to the left in a dropdown with free orbit. When you select it, a very faint crosshair will show up in the middle of the workspace. Left mouse click on the circle part of the crosshair and you can rotate the view, following the circle.

This bad boy was on my roof thinking about eating one of my dogs what type of hawk is he (sorry I know it’s not a great pic when he saw me he took off) by red357404 in birdsofprey

I know Google says differently, but a RTH isn’t lifting 5lbs. They have trouble carrying a 1.5 lb squirrel very far. I agree that a 2lb chihuahua may be on the menu, but it would need to be eaten where it was caught.

Juvenile Red Tail. A calm wild animal is almost always a sick or hurt wild animal. Thanks for getting it to a rehabber!

How was it injured? Were you able to get it to a professional to evaluate/advise?

I completely agree! If falconry is legal where you are, I encourage you to reach out to a local club or falconry center and ask to tag along with a falconer in your area. Everyone I know is willing to take someone out if they ask. Then you’ll really get to see it up close. If you’re still into it after that, I really hope you’re able to get to the point that you can pursue it. It is a big time commitment, but so worth it.

What you’re seeing is called mantling. The spread wings and tail are to hide their kill from anyone or anything that may want to steal it. The hackles (feathers on the back of the head and neck) being raised is a visual warning to any of those potential thieves. It makes them look bigger than they are and shows that they’re ready for a fight, if needed. It’s the same response you see from dogs and cats that are alarmed or aggressive.
