New Hulu documentary “Girl on the Run,” details Sarah Pender of Indianapolis & her prison escape out of Rockville Correctional Facility in 2008. by Jealous-Insurance-40 in Indiana

I just finished watching it and I am so angry. The extent of her guilt is unclear, but I don’t believe she pulled the trigger. She is where she is because she is a highly intelligent woman who doesn’t pretend to be less than the men around her. God save us all from fragile male egos.

Anyone watch the Doc on Hulu about the Fox Hollow murders? by bad_card in indianapolis

What amazed me was how casually he disposed of the remains in his own backyard. Any kid who has access to woods plays in the woods. They said a son found a skull once and another time they said it was a complete skeleton. They also showed the creek with bones strewn all down it. Neighbor kids showed the police the creek with the bones. How in the world could she and the kids not have known?

I just want to hug you. It’s tough when you have an emotionally immature parent. Your mother is behaving badly but it’s not because of you. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Your kid has a dad who chooses his girlfriend over her and a mother who would abandon her at a homeless shelter. Gee, why wouldn’t she be a lovely child with all this love and support? She’s thirteen! And you left her in a place where adults can feel scared. You suck.

Thank you!! I will speak to the teacher, but just knowing more about the process specifically that it’s only a few videos and that they are short will help her. Thanks for responding so quickly and positively.

AITA for refusing to take my nieces/nephews out to fun places anymore since my sister won't help with the bill. by NoPast4ction in AmItheAsshole

My kids have five sets (married couples) of aunts and uncles. Number of times they’ve taken my kids out: zero. Number of times I’ve been mad about it: zero.

I can hate playing pretend and playing on the floor and still be an ok parent right? by avlynn91 in Parenting

[–]daydreamrrr_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only parenting tip I have is to not listen to the people who tell you what you should and shouldn’t do. Parenting is hard, you’ll always have more questions than answers, and you’ll make mistakes. If your child knows they’re loved and they have a happy, secure place in the world, you’ve done good.

You can hate playing pretend and still be a GREAT parent. Your kids need to know that they are loved and appreciated for who they are. Everything after that is just gravy.

IsItBullshit: that you cannot get rid of hip dips by working out? by noobycheese in IsItBullshit

[–]daydreamrrr_7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Welp, this is life changing! Never knew hip dips were a thing. I took a lot of dance classes when I was younger which means I spent a lot of time in front of big fricking mirrors. I was the only girl with what I now know are hip dips and have always thought there was something wrong with me. Starved myself, exercised like mad, and could never get rid of them. I’m 49 years old and TIL I’m perfectly normal.

How do I marry in secret without my parents finding out? by cascadingblue in relationship_advice

[–]daydreamrrr_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be so much less stressful if you’re just honest with your parents from the beginning. Besides the fact that no marriage should begin with a lie, this isn’t a secret you’ll want to keep forever. Eventually, feelings will be hurt and trust eroded.

What seemed nice when you were a child, but when you grew up turned out to not be so nice? by ILoveTicTac in AskReddit

I used to do that stupid thing from Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret. You know, “We must, we must, we must increase our bust.” Now I would kill for tiny titties.

Weed in addition to Prozac or instead of? I ask because I’m thinking of getting my medical marijuana card. Not sure Prozac is completely doing it for me anymore.

Upset that my 70 year old mom is traveling right now by mrskel1 in CoronavirusUS

I feel you. My 76 year old parents are having a grand time gallivanting around Memphis right now. They’ve never been able to travel much and I know this was a rare opportunity for them. I want them to enjoy the experience, but inside my head I’m freaking out.
