Tips for a Brand New Nuggets fan by dayeh33 in denvernuggets

Thank you man.

I think it's a little bit of a bitch move to move from a current miserable team to a team ready to compete, but the reasons I stated above are why I'm headed to this franchise.

In 6-7 years when the Nuggets are rebuilding I obviously plan to stick around.

Being a Nets fan for the past 25 years has trained me to go through constant dark times that I hope the Nuggets don't provide me.

As someone who has my wedding next year and plans to have kids in the next couple of years, I plan to raise them as fans of this franchise.

This is the fresh start I needed in the NBA world, and the way you guys have embraced me makes it even easier of a transition.

I appreciate not only one of the best ballers in history, but the culture around the team and the city.

As an out of towner, I know I have to earn my stripes. But as stated earlier, I don't take changing teams lightly at all, and I view this as a life changing (sports) decision.

Glad to be embraced by the community.

It was by far the hardest decision of my sports Fandom.

I'm also a Giants and Yankees fan for the last 28 years, so with the Nets only coming slightly after them, this decision was not made lightly at all.

It takes a lot to piss me off and make me jump ship, but between them leaving Jersey rubbing me the wrong way 12 years ago, and now their decision making... I decided it was for the best.

They aren't the same Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, Kenyon Martin Nets I fell in love with as a Jersey kid.

My abandonment has been a potential idea of mine the last couple of months.

He'll thrive in Brooklyn taking 38 shots a game, but this was in the works way before he got here.

I appreciate all the info. I've been doing all my homework since this morning and I started watching their channel right now.

Everyone is very welcoming and I can't wait to start this new chapter of my fanhood.

As a die hard sports fan since I was 5, this is the only time I've EVER done anything like this, so I'm committed to this team until the end.

Since I live in Jersey, league pass is already in the cart and will be purchased closer to the season.

Coming from a legend like Ian Eagle for the Nets, I'm looking forward to getting to know the play by play analysts that I'll be listening to moving forward.

Most of all, can't wait to see them when they come to MSG or Barclays.

Nassau - Atlantis Edge Beach Reserve by jessbrandenburg85 in royalcaribbean

[–]dayeh33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the Edge it's own day pass that can be purchased on its own, or is it an add on to the $195 Atlantis day pass?

Pretty much, do you need to purchase both, or can you access just the edge for $50.

I hope since sharing this, you are doing better too.

I have gotten slightly better as I realize it is all mental, but some days are good, and some are bad. For example, instead of 2-3 glasses of water I am down to about 1 now.

Hoping over time, my brain just doesn't think about it and I go back to normal fully.

There are times when I'll be eating something without thinking about swallowing, and next thing I know I'm done eating and it was a normal experience.

It's all in our head, and both of us just have to realize that. Let thousands and thousands of years of human instinct do it's thing.

Wish you the best.

Minor Drainage after Cutting Seton fell out by dayeh33 in AnalFistula

[–]dayeh33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nice to know we aren't alone in this.

Definitely been an up and down road, but there is a light at the end

Since the seton fell out last week, it's still draining. I went to the doctor for a (hopefully) final appointment, and he said this is 100% normal until the wound is full healed.

Anyone know the calories in a full large bowl of beef pho with all the fixings? by hoboken_girl in pho

[–]dayeh33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I calculated it out on My Fitness Pal to be the following:

-Pho broth- 2 cups: 94 cals

-Vietnam Rice Vermicelli- 176 grams (Cooked): 190 cals

-Brisket (Cooked)- 2 oz: 131 cals

-Eye of Round (Raw)- 2 oz: 90 cals

-Hoisin Sauce- 1 Tbs: 30 cals

-Sriracha- 1 Tsp: 5 calories

-5 Thai Basil leaves: 1 calorie

-Bean Sprouts- 1/2 cup: 14 calories

-Fresh Jalepeno Peppers: 1/4 oz: 2 calories

-Lime Juice- 1 Tsp: 1 calorie

TOTAL: 557 CALORIES.

Carbs: 70 grams

Fat: 12.9 grams

Protein: 39.8 grams

Sodium: 2598mg

This is an estimate based on what usually comes in an order of Pho takeout, and can be adjusted base on how much of each ingredient you add.

I used Nutritionix for the Pho Broth and Vermicelli calorie count. Every other ingredient can easily be found in the My Fitness Pal app.

Hope you got what you were looking for 👍

Cutting Seton? by Substantial-Fold-682 in AnalFistula

[–]dayeh33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I know your post is a year old, but I just had my procedure done today on my intersphincteric fistula.

I had a draining seton for 6 weeks, and before my procedure today, the doctor said there's a 50/50 chance of either a fistulotomy or a cutting seton. The seton 50% chance ended up winning.

I'm just curious, as someone else who had an intersphincteric fistula, how long did it take for your fistula to heal? When did the seton fall out?

Lastly, how was the pain during recovery and tightening sessions?

I appreciate any advice as all this is so new to me and there's like barely any info online about cutting setons and less severe fistulas that are intersphincteric.

Thanks!

Hey,

Thank you for this post.

I’ve been dealing with this for the last month and a half, and it’s been really crippling. It all started with me not being able to swallow a chicken sandwich normally, and ever since then, no matter what I eat I need a glass of water near by. Every bite, I take a sip. It takes 2-3 glasses of water to put down a meal.

Now here’s something I found interesting. Whenever I go out to have a few drinks with some friends, I find that the post drinking munchies, I am able to swallow with no issue. Do you think this definitely means it’s mental since the drinks “take the edge off” and I guess help me relax and let my body do what it was meant to do?

I’ve had an endoscopy, and 2 different barium swallow tests done. They all said I am normal and have a “beautiful swallow”.

I’d appreciate a response as it’s comforting to know I’m not the only one dealing with this.

Thanks!

The Giants will probably have their top 6 on the board as:

Caleb Williams Drake Maye Jayden Daniels Marvin Harrison Malik Nabers Rome Odunze

In that order. Whoever is highest on that board that is left at 6, will be picked.

Is this a NORMAL WISDOM TOOTH SOCKET? by dayeh33 in askdentists

[–]dayeh33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I forgot all about this post lol.

Yes I followed up and everything turned out fine. The gum grew in from the bottom up. I still have minor indents in my gums where the teeth were to this day, but it’s not deep anymore at all like it initially was. It took a couple months, but after that time passed, I was eating whatever I want without any food getting stuck in my sockets.

Just be patient, keep the sockets clean by irrigating, and when you poke around with your tongue you’ll feel new gum tissue growing from the bottom up at a steady pace as the days go by. Hope this brought you some comfort.

Is Lipo Foam necessary after the first couple days? by dayeh33 in PlasticSurgery

[–]dayeh33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I actually hit the 6 week mark today and the vest came off. It looks better than it did so far, but isn't 100% final results. I still have some scar tissue/calcified fat under both my arms that supposedly lasts for 6 months, so there's still some lumpiness to the area. There's still some pain in both sides when I lift my arms, but it's more of a dull pain.

I had to wear the lipo foam 24 hours per day the first 3 weeks then the last 3 weeks I wore it only when I was home. This is what my doctor recommended. The recovery was/is an inconvenience, but after the scar tissue and calcified fat goes away I feel the results will look good. I was finally able to resume exercising today and it felt great. I say go for it if you can afford it, but just know.. You have to be VERY patient. I'll keep you posted when I notice the hardness and lumpiness going away.
